We were attending a weekend event in Upper Lake and Tallman was suggested. Beautiful place, well kept, very friendly, quiet. Nice Pool and hot tub. Loved the high ceilings. Continental Breakfast included and it was more than adequate.
Staff very accommodating. Once they knew you liked or wanted something, it was there each day.
Restaurant that is part of the hotel is very well known and the food was excellent. One of our party even went back for lunch after the event.
Tallman Hotel is an experience all by itself! Nestled on a quiet street, it is a step back in time with out giving up any of the modern amenities. Our room was beautifully decorated, bed was extremely comfortable, balcony was a treasure, bathroom perfect, pool was lovely and cool in the summer heat, restaurant food was excellent. Breakfast was delicious with several healthy choices and wonderful coffee cakes. It is worth the extra miles to stay here and relax and renew.
If you're looking for a great B&B, look no further. The Tallman is off the main highway so it is extremely quiet. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and professional. This property is historical and also has its own restaurant. The outdoor eating area is fabulous. Many of the breakfast items were clearly homemade and very tasty. Breakfast is served in the formal dining area, but you can also eat outside in the garden area. The property also has a small pool to enjoy during the warm summer months. We will definitely stay again if in the area.
Quality abounds at the Tallman. It felt historic yet updated. The bed was comfortable, the shower unique, the bathtub huge. The breakfast was notably tasty. The staff was attentive to our needs and happy to help us. Dinner at the restaurant on site was also a pleasant experience.
We had a glass of wine on our balcony and a soak in the hot tub. Very relaxing.
This hotel is seemingly a hidden treasure in a quaint, rural town. If you travel Hwy. 20 toward the coast, this is the perfect hotel for a quiet, night's rest. It's a beautifully renovated historical hotel with lush gardens, great pool, and an excellent restaurant. Wandering around the neighborhood makes one feel that you may have gone back in time - very peaceful, calm, safe, and friendly. Most storefronts are empty, but the town still possesses an historical, rural charm.
Visiting nearby wineries, and enjoying the lake could also enhance your visit.
Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very clean. Staff very helpful and professional. It is obvious the owners spared no expense during remodeling. Bathrooms are large. Claw foot tub or large rain shower. Take your pick. The location of hotelyou could be a negative for some. Breakfast was simple, but homemade coffee cakes, scones, etc. were some of the best I have ever eaten. Will definitely stay here again.
