Description: Patrona Restaurant and Lounge is located in the heart of beautiful Ukiah, Mendocino County, California. We are a family-run business and view the restaurant as an extension of our kitchen and living room. Our building served as the town grocery store for over one hundred years. Now lovingly restored, it is softly lit with warm brick walls, filled with hand crafted tables from local artisans and run by a staff that cares. Bridget and Craig, two winery chefs, opened Patrona in 2003. The simple goal was to enjoy the great area we live in and share this with our family and friends. Our mission statement is simply “Happy People”. We need to be happy about what we do and how we do it. Our guests need to be happy and feel good as well as our neighbors and future generations. This means a thoughtful and sustainable business. Our menu changes are based on today’s catch from the gardens, ocean and local purveyors.

Patrona offers a well-executed, seasonal menu in a beautifully designed room. Excellent cocktails and Mendo Co. wine list.

We were so pleased to find this fine dining restaurant in
Old Town Ukiah. Food was very, very good, in a lovely room with Full bar and great Mendocino wine list. We had grilled trout done exceptionally well with Brussels sprouts and roasted Veggies, and seared Ahi with great ginger sambal, veggies and jasmine rice. Oysters were very good, too. Specialty cocktails, hot vanilla buttered rum and Gin, ginger and Pimm's cup drink were very good, as was key lime pie. Server, while very pleasant, needs more training: she didn't write our orders down, so she forgot that one drink was to be on the rocks rather than "up ," forgot the request for horseradish, and forgot one of two cups of coffee. All in all, we enthusiastically recommend Patrona.

We were passing through town, didn't know where to stop for a sit-down lunch. We stumbled across Patrona, just a block off the main drag.

Very pleasant place, attentive service. The tables were a bit close (such a funny conversation going on at the table next to us). My wife had a very nice salad (sorry, I don't remember much about it other than she really enjoyed it), I had a calamari po'boy sandwich. VERY tasty, not too spicy, the calamari was cooked just right (which can be hard to do). We certainly will plan on stopping here the next time we come through town.

Great facility and atmosphere...but they seated us next to four adults with two young children who were totally out of control through our entire meal. Restaurant did nothing to ask parents to control the kids who disrupted all tables near them. And the kitchen got behind and the time to get our food was way too long (and the waitress apologized). Two really distracting things to an otherwise great meal. Coho Salmon and Petrale Sole dishes were excellent. Can't remember two dishes as well prepared. Waitress discounted one glass of wine due to dinner being delayed in kitchen. Wahoo!

We live 25 miles from Ukiah but will often choose to drive there for errands instead of Santa Rosa because of Patrona. We love the ambience, the food is always very, very good and fresh and the wine list and special cocktails are great. The menu changes frequently to take advantage of what is fresh and in season. I highly recommend Patrona for lunch or dinner if you're in the area.
