Off the beaten track for travelers on their way to or from camping, this small restaurant. in a converted house offers counter service, but the pleasant wait staff brought dishes to the table. The menu was full of great choices; my daughter thought her pastrami sandwich was the best she had ever had. Other entries at our table included an organic mixed green salad with pears and walnuts, another salad with apples and pecans, and a Cobb sandwich ( different, but delicious). The kitchen failed to put the bacon on the Cobb sandwich, but brought it out after my grandson had taken a few bites. He never missed it and the rest of us got to sample the yummy stuff. My husband had the soup of the day, which he thought was outstanding--cream of mushroom, with more mushrooms than the farmers' market.
There was pleasant tree-covered seating outside on the street. We will return on our way home.
