“it could have been so much better”
Reviewed November 9, 2011

i had high hopes. The atmosphere was fun - it was a nice, friendly crowd and everyone was happy to be there.
my burger was just okay, too small for the bun. They DID have sweet potato fries, which gets them bumped up a notch in my book.
i managed to get out of there without dessert.
overall, it just could have been so much better!

“Love it!”
Reviewed August 19, 2011

We found this place to be one of the better parts of Ukiah. The burgers and fries are yummy! Killer shakes and huge banana splits. I loved the 50's music playing in the back ground and how everything was named after old celebrities

“Fifties-style diner with over 30 flavors of milkshakes.”
Reviewed July 1, 2011

A local favorite in Ukiah, this diner has a good menu selection in a retro environment. Black and white checkered floors, metallic red vinyl booths, a jukebox and vintage decor step back in time. The restaurant was impeccably clean and the service was fast, attentive and polite. The burger I had was made from a frozen patty, but it was well seasoned and had a good taste. There were several choices of french fries, including curly fries. Some of the burgers and sandwiches were theme named for the Ukiah air field across the street. For a sweet treat, order a milkshake, if you can make up your mind from over 30 flavors (see photos for the list).

The signage for Be-Bops Diner may be more visible at night than during the day, but the unusual shape of the building cannot be missed on South State Street at Airport Road. Its red and white exterior and octagonal structure are unlike anything else in the area and are reminiscent of a fifties-style drive-in. Be-Bops Diner is not a drive-in, but there is a vintage toy pedal car on display inside.

If you are in or near Ukiah and would like to do something fun for lunch, stop at Be-Bops Diner for a blast from the past.
