A group of colleagues took me to Jyun Kang Restaurant for a business lunch, as I was looking for good vegetarian food. The service was polite and attentive, the setting was casual with a touch of gentle elegance, and the food was delicious, with a variety of options. We elected to eat family style, and everyone agreed the food was lovely. It was a great place to have an informal business meeting... now I want to go back and enjoy it fully relaxed. I would heartily recommend this restaurant to friends, family and colleagues.

This restaurant is so good, they have a large vegetarian menu, most dishes are available in small, large options. Everything is super fresh and light with just the right amount of seasonings.

The restaurant at the City of 10,000 Buddhas is nice and kind of funky. The vegan food is nicely prepared and usually tasty. Some things are a little too salty or spicy. The restaurant itself is left over from the building's days as a state mental hospital ( which closed in 1971) and looks it. If you go on a cool winter day dress warmly! The grounds of the former Ukiah State Hospital are not well maintained but more interesting that way, kind of like a ghost town. Ignore the notice to sign in and just boogie on in, the monks and nuns don't seem to care. Definitely worth a visit.

The small restaurant behind the temple has excellent food; and large protions. For a lunch, a vehicle may drive slowly and turn on the first left road toward the 'Jyun Kang' restuarant
EVERYBODY must SIGN IN at the first building on your right to WALK THE GROUNDS;
park in the lot and go into the first large building to do so.
The Temple is huge; and there are Ten Thousand Buddhas on the walls inside the temple. Four beautiful and very large Kuan Yin statues, carved from wood, are in the temple, Numerous small kneeling stands are in the temple. and the very large and grand alter is just awesome.
Beautiful grounds here Peacocks abound and there is a fish pond that is quaint. They have a large black alter in the front of the temple, and visitors may go up the steps to light incence and stick it in the clean white sand and say your prayer.
Beautiful people are here, very good FENG SHUI is here, and excellent - CHI - abounds here.
