We visited this hotel for two nights for a friend's wedding. First impressions are good - the hotel (not exactly a castle as such) is large and spacious with a really lovely old building being used as a wine bar which is well worth visiting. The staff don't speak much English but this is in a fairly remote village so that's hardly surprising.
The room was quite some walk from reception, the furthest away you could get. This meant however that it was very peaceful. It was however very small but perfectly clean. My only gripe with the bathroom is that it only had a bath with a very low mounted shower in it - if you wanted to stand under a shower you'd need to hold it up.
No air conditioning - don't know whether this would be an issue or not in the summer, but it wasn't for our trip.
The food was quite acceptable and the wine good and really cheap - a euro for a large glass, and if you wanted to take some away from their in-house winery then you'd be paying the princely sum of €1.10 per litre for the basic stuff! The room had been paid for for us but double rooms seemed to be about €45 per night including a fairly basic breakfast - certainly no complaints at all for that price.
