“Like my grandmother's kitchen!”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Pina's Bistro is a great place for real home cooked Italian! It is a small, quaint, intimate spot with only a few tables. Piña and her daughters turn out some of the best Italian fare you will find anywhere!

“I love this place, you must go... You won't be disappointed!!”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

It's tiny, homemade food and feel like part of the family!! Mom, who does all the cooking ,is visible in the kitchen cooking away& sometimes she comes to your table to say "hello" & chat. Her Italian food is amazing and her crusty bread is "to die for".....a quaint Italian experience.... Please don't change a thing, I love this little place!!!

“Always a treat”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Pina and her family always make this a special place to go. The food is terrific. She absolutely has the best red sauce in all of Orange County. Do no miss the eggplant. Although it is very small, if the weather permists you can sit outside.

“Tiny but Mighty (Good)!”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

We have eaten here for several years and have eaten all over Tustin for at least 30. This has got to be the best Italian in town. The place is tiny. I doubt there are as many as 10 tables inside with another approx 6-8 outside with an unappealing view of the parking lot of the little strip mall in which Pina's is located. But the food (and whatever good company you bring) makes the lack of ambience disappear.
Pina does virtually all of the cooking - from scratch - with a little help from her daughters who mostly wait tables. Pina will even desert the kitchen to bus tables when necessary! The menu is largely standard Italian but everything is very well prepared and very good. Appetizers are ok. The salad that accompanies each meal isn't special but is always fresh and tasty. The entrees
are winners. And Pina makes her own sausage that we can't get enough of!
Try it! But reservations are suggested for this tiny space. Open at lunch during the week too.
Just ok for families with kids under 10 or 12. Menu items may be too large/costly although I suspect Pina will accommodate with pasta or small pizza if asked.
