“Best Biscuits & Gravy in Town!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is, by far, the BEST place for breakfast in Turlock! The biscuits and gravy are delivered in heaping mounds of hot, steaming gravy. I've had lukewarm, tasteless biscuits and gravy before, and was pleasantly surprised at Hot Rod. My husband and I frequent this restaurant. He loves the corned beef and hash, and I love the "Soldier Boy." One tip: Get there early. This place fills up fast, but you won't be disappointed. It's worth the wait.

“Great diner food at a good price!”
Reviewed November 4, 2011

This is a very good old fashion diner. Breakfasts are especially wonderful. Try the chicken fried steak, unbelievable! The service is good, the food is plentiful and you get pictures of hot rods on the wall and oldies music playing in the background. My only complaint is the tables are pretty tight but then again you may never get a seat for Saturday breakfast if they were not. It is not only our favorite for breakfast but our grand kids love it too. Unfortunately it is only open for breakfast and lunch. Try it you will love it.
