We recently got married at The Cedar House, and the experience was incredible. We'd stayed here a couple times before, so we already had fond memories. But having a wedding at a hotel really puts the service to the test. Not only was the staff up to the task, but they really put a gleaming polish on an already wonderful experience. All of our family and friends stayed at the hotel, and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating to everyone. We've heard nothing but thanks and praise for our recommendation from our guests to stay at Cedar House. From the easy travel access to the incredible culinary experience, it sounds like it was a real hit with everyone.
Now the only thing that will set Cedar House apart from other area hotels (which you may find either a bad thing or a great thing), is that they're not a resort. They're a hotel. So while there's not a skating rink, a dozen restaurants, and 5 Starbucks on-site... There are also not hundreds of little kids running back and forth in the halls in ski boots at 6:00 in the morning. There is, however, one unbelievably good restaurant on-site (Stella). And you'd be doing yourself a major disservice if you didn't make reservations to eat dinner here at least once (Check their weekly schedule for open hours). Plus, breakfast is complimentary to all hotel guests every day. I'm talking about a house-made bread, eggs, and bacon breakfast too. Not a basket full of danishes from the gas station.
All in all, if you want a quiet hotel room, amazing food, top-notch service, and access to every mountain activity you can think of from fishing to heli-skiing, this is the place for you.
