We decided to go to Tahoe last minute to visit friends. We generally stay on the south side, so it was a nice opportunity to enjoy the north side. We also were staying a few days before New Years Eve which made EVERY place in Tahoe either booked or priced beyond belief. Luckily, I had points left over from my days as a career woman and was able to use them at the Hampton. Had I had to pay the asking price of $200+ I would not have been happy.

The room was an average Hampton/Hilton room but perhaps a little newer than others. The beds were nice and everything was clean. The front desk was not helpful. The free breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold foods, but the crowds were crazy! There was no place to sit, so I just loaded up a tray and took it to the room.

Hotel is clean, lobby inviting, staff is professional and very accommodating. The beds are VERY comfortable too! Rick Rucker, general manager, can be relied upon to give wonderful service, and it is obvious that he has counselled his staff to do the same. We highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely return when next we visit the area.

Fantastic, family friendly hotel. Management deserves 5 stars. Staff friendly and helpful. Suites spotless - with every amenity one could want. Hot breakfast yummy. Meeting room open so family could all meet and play games. Even frosted Easter cookies we brought along. Hotel had Easter egg hunt for children. Only 3 miles to skiiing and snowboarding at Northstar resort at Tahoe. Highly recomment to all!

A lodge-style hotel with nice decorations, clean rooms, knowledgable and friendly staff. This hotel is located near many skiing resorts in North Lake Tahoe. The daily complimentary continental breakfast is plentiful. The beds are comfortable, something you need after a day at the slopes. There are many restaurants nearby. The best Hampton Inn I have stayed so far. I sure will come back again.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The first time, right after it opened, created a favorable impression that has never subsided. From its chalet-style architecture and furnishings to the quiet surroundings and roaring fireplace in the lobby/dining area, Hampton Inn Truckee keeps getting it right. Rooms are very comfortable. Management and staff are always warm, personal and professional. Breakfast is typical Hampton Inn fare... nothing particularly inspiring. But the breakfast area is spacious and enjoyable.

I stayed at this hotel with some friends last month, and we had the best time. The rooms were great and the staff were very nice and helpful. I would recommend that anyone taking a trip to Truckee choose the Hampton Inn for their place to stay.
