Description: Set against the glorious backdrop of the majestic Sierra, our sixth restaurant blends fabulous scenery with equally fabulous sushi. Located in the heart of the village near the skating rink, it boasts decor that successfully blends contemporary Asian design with the ambiance of a European mountain lodge. The pale wood on the walls is enhanced by custom east-meets-west paintings by artist Terry Flanigan, a variety of Mikuni t-shirts, and an assortment of restaurant awards that we just had to display. If you're in the mood for a high-energy experience, by all means take a seat at the bar that sits in the center of the room. If a cozy meal is more to your liking, sneak off to a quiet booth or table and relax in your own little world.

Surprisingly good sushi and price for where it was. Typical prices in the village are very high. Had a great lunch and staff was friendly and accommodating for us to be able to watch some college ball.

We visited the other night. Restaurant not busy but hostess didn't want to seat us until we were all there though I told her they were taking off their skates and we wanted to go ahead and order for everyone. I understand this during peak time, but it was not. Our server was wonderful! Friendly, helpful, sweet. But our food was barely ok. Teriyaki chicken fatty. Gyozas tasted old, reheated. Noise level very loud with tv on and people talking loudly. Not a good mix for us. Sushi was okay but not what we expected.

This is our favorite sushi restaurant. We are frequent visitors, especially during ski season. I love the dressing on their bonsai salad and the sea steak. My husband usually gets the Heath and Annie rolls. The sesame chicken is also really good. The prices are a little more than most sushi restaurants, but we find the food consistent. I only wish they would open at 11am during the high tourist season.
