Blackberries are in season along the N. Californian coast in August and September so their home-made warm blackberry cobbler is delicious and huge. Definitely share. The restaurant feels more diner-ish. The clam chowder was ok. The photos of earlier days are interesting and this eatery is a few seconds away from the ocean cliffs and lighthouse. The fog burned off in the late afternoon. There was a B& B across the street that looked good and a hike around the Trinidad state beach as well.

Good place for breakfast or lunch in Trinidad. Essentially a small diner. Good portions and prices reasonable.

We walked in on a Wednesday night in July and only had to wait about five minutes for a table, but during that time we were offered samples of homemade fudge--my kind of place. Once seated in a cozy booth, we enjoyed thick clam chowder and salads with the famous blackberry cobbler for dessert. One serving was enough for the table!

We've been here lots of times and have never left hungry or unhappy. Some others have complained about greasy food...I can't eat it so I don't order fried food...but my husband reports that it is great. We have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and I've always gotten a great meal. The staff are friendly and helpful too. Bye the way...don't miss the blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream...it's the best!!
