“Will definitely make this hotel the only one we stay at in Tracy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2012

After reading several reviews, a few things caught my attention about the hotel:

Clean
Great Service
Comfortable beds

The last one caught my attention the most. I think the sign of a good hotel is comfortable beds. I was convinced to stay here mostly on that comment about the beds.

I was not disappointed!!!!!

This is a great spot, worthy of its place as #1 hotel in Tracy. My first direct communication came when I was called stating there was an issue with my room request (King room w/ couch). They offered me another room the was slightly lower quality or the ability to make a reservation for me at another hotel. The reason for the latter offer - the hotel was fully booked with a school academic competition. This gave us a yikes moment as we were concerned about noise. The staff put us in a smaller wing of the hotel (1st floor) and away from the highway (the hotel is close to Highway 120). We had no issue with noise.

We arrived to a spotless room, with no maintenance issues. There was even a handwritten note for the hotel thanking me for my visit, and two waterbottles w/ snack mix bags.

The bed was soft, and had a cozy comfortable comforter on it. We slept great and so did our 8 month old daughter! That's another sign of a great hotel...your kids sleep well too!

Breakfast was standard for this hotel type, but the staff worked hard to keep the area clean and stocked, especially in light of the presence of the school kids.

Additional ammenities comments: The pool was clean and heated, and had a bunch of floating toys to enjoy, like beach balls. Internet was easy to use, reccomend brining a laptop to take advantage of the wireless.

All told, great job, definitely consider this place to stay in Tracy!

P.S. You are amazingly close to Best Buy and a Movie Theater (in the nearby Mall). If you bring a laptop, you can get your movie fix by getting a few DVDs at Best Buy, or walk over to the mall and enjoy movies on the big screen.

Room Tip: Request a room away from highway. Doesn't need to be top floor, as noise from movement above wa...

Stayed one night here on a business trip. It was tucked away next to a large shopping area so the location is decent. Good options for chain restaurant food as well as Barnes & Noble, JCP, etc for shopping. The hotel is a typical Hampton Inn. Nothing special. Basic amenities. Front desk personnel were nice and cheery. Room was OK. Clean. A little highway noise but not too bad that I couldn't sleep. Cost $120/night. Not a lot of hotel options in Tracy so this one is probably as good as any.

We stayed in Room 324, which was fine, albeit rather small, but it was in a quiet location. This is a clean hotel, wonderful bed and pillows, quality linens and plentiful fluffy towels. Jerry checked us in quickly and when we discovered there wasn't a refrigerator, he wheeled one right to our room immediately. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety and it was extremely well organized.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the freeway noise and high floor.

We stayed one night at this hotel and I wish we could have stayed two to take advantage of what looked like a lot of great shopping opportunities just across the parking lot. Unfortunately (or fortunately, as my husband saw it), we got in late at night and left early in the morning. There was a mall as well as several restaurant choices all within walking distance. The hotel was clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff super friendly. The free breakfast was very good. I did not give a full 5 stars because even though our room was quiet, our nieces, who were across the hall, experienced a very noisy night from loud music being played until about 2 a.m. from a car in the parking lot at the left end of the hotel. They did not call the front desk so we don't know how the staff would have handled the situation. They were at the back of the hotel and we were across the hall on the front side of the hotel, facing the main parking lot, so not sure why they heard the music coming from the parking lot at the end of the hotel, and we didn't. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Probably the more quiet rooms would be on the right side of the hotel, as coming in the front entran...

The beds are pillow-top and firm mattress underneath, the staff treated me like I was an friend from out of town, and the drive from the hotel to Dublin or Stockton was a breeze.

We stayed here on our way back from Yosemite to SFO airport. We'd actually paid for another night at Curry Village tent cabins in Yosemite (see my unhappy review of that place) but decided to escape early and so on short notice, we found a room here. Yosemite is lovely, but after several nights of dusty, crowded tent-cabin life in Curry Village, checking into the Hampton Inn in Tracy was like entering an amazing oasis. Clean and comfy! The usual Hampton Inn perks: free parking, free wifi, free breakfast! The staff at this hotel were remarkable---they were really friendly when we checked in, and the following morning they remembered us, asked how we slept, and went way beyond the normal administrative stuff. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 just because the Fairfield Inn across the parking lot is almost as wonderful and is a tad cheaper. (We stayed at the Hampton this time because the Fairfield was full.)

This hotel has the most comfortable beds that we have ever slept in. I am seriously considering purchasing one for my home. The breakfast buffet was worth the stay all in itself. It was bountiful and delicious. It saved us alot of money. The pool and fitness room were a nice touch as well. No matter where we travel, we always look for a Hampton!
