If you're staying in the area, this is a solid choice. Helpful staff, clean and comfortable room and pleasantly surprised at the quality of room service. I am a big fan of a Cobb salad and they serve a good one.

Room Tip: The higher the better. I suggest a room facing the pool (as opposed to the busy Hawthorne Blvd...

This is the second time I've stayed here, and the first time I was able to use the pool facilities. With the pool going to 8 feet deep and the hot tub with room for at least 12-15 people this is a nice place to relax. Not to mention the multiple waterfalls and running water they have surrounding it. It's a great place to grab a book and relax or your laptop and get some work done.

Also, I had to transfer from another hotel to this one and had booked the night before moving over. With that I needed to check in early if possible. I called before heading over and was told that early check-in was not possible because no rooms were ready. But this was kind of an emergency. Being an HHonors Diamond member I called the Diamond Desk and they contacted the hotel, spoke to the manager and had a crew rush to clean and prep a room within the hour. They saved the day, and I am impressed!

My only complaint is that they've "permanently closed" the executive lounge. (I asked.) I've used it before, and don't understand why this would be. It's a great place to sit around and get some work done when traveling. Please bring it back!

Thanks Doubletree, love the cookies!

Room Tip: Tower rooms are generally nicer and a little less worn.

This hotel has well appointed rooms and a very courteous staff. The location is convenient to many (national chain) restaurants and a major shopping mall is within walking distance. For business travelers in need of 'extra services', there is also a FEDEX / Kinko's location in the strip mall adjacent to the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is more than adequate for business travelers.
A fine business travel location. Not a 'vacation destination' by any means.

Decent Hotel. The rooms were updated and clean! I did enjoy the free parking. Most hotels will charge for parking, but I enjoyed the fact that parking was free. Overall, it is close to Del Amo Mall and Palos Verde. Not much in Torrance

I stayed here for three nights on a business trip. On the Friday and Saturday nights, there were events at night on the Penthouse level of the hotel, on the twelfth floor. I was told that one party was a wedding reception. The parties were so loud that the noise disturbed my sleep, and I was on the ninth floor. Another one in our travel group had the same problem on one of the nights. Otherwise the hotel was fine, and for a stay on a weekday I would probably rate it a four.

Room Tip: On a weekend ask for a room on a low floor.

Lovely hotel and lovely lobby.. The room was clen and tidy, not plush, but definitely nice. I was absolutely taken aback by how friendly EVERYONE is from the minute you check in. The cleaning staff, the food service, the front desk, etc. Free parking and wifi is a great bonus. Very central to everything in Torrance. My only complaint is that their coffee shop in the lobby is closed all weekend!!

Hilton family hotels are always our first choice.. We stayed here using a free night using very little points. Its in a ok part of Torrance, with lots of options surrounding it.

Free parking here is a plus; which would make it a good choice for a wedding reception for those of you looking. The parking lot had tons of space on a saturday night and I saw that at least one reception was taking place there.

The lobby area is nice, and I did see a bar and restaurant when we headed up to our room.

They did honor our request for a higher floor, but we hit a snag because as we arrived to our room, the door was ajar, and the room was clearly not cleaned. We called the front desk, they handled it professionally, and compensated with a new room and more cookies! Seems that the housekeepers had it on the clean list, but they obviously didn't. It was unlocked and somebody could have taken off with stuff!

I enjoyed the view of the city from the balcony. The room was clean and beds comfy. Couldn't beat free, right? I'd stay again..
