KHB is like the Disney World of Hawaiian cuisine. The restaurant looks like a huge Hawaiian plantation house, you couldn't possibly miss it on Sepulveda if you tried. You walk in and are immediately overwhelmed with the amazing smell of sweet Hawaiian breads and cakes baking. You collect your number (there is ALWAYS a wait), and join the rest of the people waiting in line gawking at the sprawling array of desserts in the bakery/waiting area. We always go for breakfast so we have yet to sample any of the goods, but much has been lauded already about their cakes, etc. I'd like to everything's good, but I've only ever have had the same thing (a a rare case for me)...Big Island Breakfast: hawalian bread french teast, served with two eggs and I get the portuguese sausage with it. So good. The reason for just 3 stars is the major attitude of so many of the servers we've had, usually the guys. It's gotten to the point where we don't even go anymore. It's probably a good thing for my waistline anyway.
