Description: In a recent review The DAILY BREEZE wrote .... "There are some wonderful small restaurants that dot the landscape of Italy. If you want to duplicate the experience of traveling to Europe without the expense, visit Scardino's Italian Restaurant in Torrance." We are a family owned and operated ristorante much like one would find in the neighborhoods of any southern Italian city. Our authentic recipes originate from all southern provinces of the country. Our pasta, pizza and seafood is carefully prepared each day with the highest quality ingredients available, most imported from Italy. We also have an excellent selection of moderately priced Italian wines and fantastically delicious Tiramisu. The Iorillo Family - Phillip & Pauline along with daughters Tracy & Kristi - and their friendly, professional staff will pamper you with world-class service and Italian hospitality. Our intimate, warm Italian atmosphere makes Scardino's the perfect choice for entertaining your family & friends.

Scardino's MUST have the best value Early Bird deal around. $14.95 for 3 courses - a choice of soup or salad for a starter plus garlic bread, about 15 choices for a main dish (all good as far as I've tried), 2-3 choices for a dessert PLUS a glass of house wine. There can't be a better deal anywhere. Somewhat Americanized Italian food but very well done and in generous portions. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you miss the Early Bird (and you MUST book or you won't get in), then Wednesdays are a good day to come because they offer all premium wines at 1/2 price! The regular menu has lots of choice and is still good value. Not gourmet but tasty.

I had the risotto and my friend had the ravoli. it was only okay. The atmosphere was cool, service very slow, but friendly and the food... just average.

If you are tired of the chain restaurants and paying too much for bad food, check out Scardino's. It is one of those "hole in the wall" secrets that locals keep to themselves.

As you walk in, you'll be greeted with a warm smile, fantastic garlic bread and a nice, choice of wine and beverages. They have an early-bird menu where you get a full meal including a drink, salad or soup, entree, and dessert for a great price. They also have a full menu with all of your favorite, Italian dishes.

The sauces on all the pastas are excellent (you'll want to lick your plate), and they also have a great selection of pizza. And don't forget the tiramisu! It's excellent.

Be sure to call for a reservation in advance as the restaurant is cozy and only seats so many people.
