Habbieauld B&B Treat

We arranged to stay there for one night as a break whilst driving to Loch Lomond.  Go through part of a housing estate and a short distance along a dirt track and soon the journey is transformed into a tranquil countryside farmhouse setting .  The proprietor, Isobel, came out to greet us on arrival and to help us settle in.  Isobel takes a genuine interest in making sure her guests feel welcome and  well looked after.  We were allocated a spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.  In addition we had the sole use of the down stairs lounge and dining area as no other guests were staying at the time.  Add to this an excellent full Scottish breakfast and you have the ingredients for a very satisfying B&B experience.  It is hard to imagine how we could have made a better choice.  If you are passing through the area and need somewhere to stay then give Isobel a call, you won’t regret it!

My mother who is 80 stayed at the Habbiauld B&B for 5 nights on a trip back to visit family in Kilmaurs. Isabelle, the owner, was absolutely amazing. She was extremely caring and as my mum has some mobility issues she was concerned about her using the stairs and waited up for her each evening. The bedroom is very spacious with 4 beds, lovely decor to a high standard and a beautiful en-suite shower room. Mum said that the breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and all piping hot and plenty of it. The lounge area is spacious and well furnished and light and airy, an ideal place to relax after a day of exploring Ayrshire. Not far to the beautiful west coast either. Mum has decided she is definitely going to stay there again!!

Arrived here ( family of five) hot & sweaty after hard day's cycling ( Lands End to J'Groats) and Isabel couldn't have been more helpful! Booked us into the recommended eatery in Kilmaurs & also gave us a lift down there to make sure we found it on time. Had viirtually an entire house to ourselves - with huge sitting room. Wonderful breakfast. Great to have lots of fresh fruit for breakfast as well as the full scottish to set up for another hard day in the saddle! There were five of us all in one bedroom - upstairs - great for bonding.

Isabel was the most fantastic host. The facilities in the farmhouse is just gorgeous. Isabel was very hospitable picked is Aussies up and took us back to station and took us one day to a village wanted to see. Really went that extra mile. Great breakfast. So good we stayed two nights. B&B's to us are so much friendlier and a warmer place to stay.
Thank you so much for making Scotland a special place. Hopefully we will return

We stayed at Habbieauld for a family wedding in Kilmarnock. We are a family of two adults and three children and the room was perfect for us, very comfortable and spacious. Great ensuite, fabulous breakfast including lots of fresh fruit as well as a Scots fry up. Warm and engaging hostess in Isobel. Unlikely location at the end of a small housing estate- a sign at the start of the lane leading to Habbieauld would be a good idea!

We'll be back I'm sure.
