“Parking Nightmare!”
Review of Blackie's Pasture

Blackie's Pasture

I walk there but if you want to park at the trailhead on the weekend or peek hours its tough. It is so beautiful though. If you can get there on foot or bike the better off you are. There is a playground and a soccer field not far from the trailhead. If you go much further around Lyford Drive there is a dog park by the tennis court which is a great find.

A landmark at the entrance to Tiburon. Blackie was the horse that was loved by all who visited this pasture and she has been laid to rest there. A bronze sculpture stands in the middle of the pasture to serve as a memory to Blackie. Lovely walking trail goes right by this pasture along the bay and there is free parking adjacent to the field

You can walk from Blackie'sPasture all the way into Tiburon and have a wonderful lunch and return back and stop along the way and enjoy the view. We like to walk along San Rafael Ave all the way into Tiburon, Some beautiful homes along the way.

Incredible views, funny history about Blackie the horse and wonderful bike and walking trails. Free parking too! Park here and ride your bike into downtown Tiburon.

Great FREE parking place to meet friends from across the bay or anywhere. Fun events like Hay Days and the Salmon release that kids love. Nice park close for a picnic and small playground for the little ones.
