We spent a day walking around the perimeter road on Angel Island, reading notices about the local history. The weather was kind, the scenery from every side of the island spectacular and plenty of benches for eating packed lunches. The ferry boats ran to good time and the fact that the island is cut off from the public overnight makes it a more special destination.
