“Gem of a restaurant in a darling little town.”
Reviewed June 14, 2010

This restaurant is a FABULOUS fine-dining experience. They have an excellent wine list and my fillet was cooked to perfection. They obviously take a lot of pride in their craft. Keep up the good work, McPhee's!!!

“hands down best restaurant in SLO County”
Reviewed May 24, 2010

This will be short & sweet -- best quality food in the county. Sunday brunch is awesome. All food is great quality and really good. You must try it. Great for a special treat or occasion.

They also have a large back room for meetings with food, or parties.

“Great meal”
Reviewed March 28, 2010

On our yearly trip to Templeton area we always make sure to visit McFee's. McFee's does not change. The odor of the oak fire used to cook steaks, etc. always greets you at the door.
I had the oriental flavoured shrimp as an appetizer which has been on the menu for a long time...excellent as always. I also had the cedar plank salmon which was very good. My husband had the steak which we had come for and he loved it. This is another restaurant that we love to come back to year after year. I have had the ribs here which are also very good. Reasonable wine list. Service was excellent. About 10 minutes from Paso Robles.

“Perennial favorite--we make a point to have a meal at McPhee's”
Reviewed March 1, 2010

We always plan to have a meal at McPhee's when driving north to San Francisco or Santa Cruz. This trip was a weekend in Paso Robles, so we enjoyed dinner, which was fabulous as usual. Shared the grilled artichoke and the grapefruit salad (delicious Point Reyes blue cheese) and enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli and cedar planked salmon (one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had--tender and delicately flavored with cedar and Dijon mustard). A glass of the Jack Creek Cellars Pinot Noir completed this excellent meal.

“Great way to start our Central California vacation”
Reviewed February 26, 2010

My husband and I had lunch here our first full day in the Paso Robles-area where we spent three days tasting wine. It was a weekday and the restaurant was full. It was not an inexpensive meal, so the crowds are indicative of how good the food and service are. It's in a gorgeous old house; and yet the ladies room was immaculate. We were pleased to observe that diners' cell phones weren't constantly ringing; perhaps Cental California is more laid back than Las Vegas. The food was great and presented beautifully; service was exceptionally good. We visit Cental California almost every year and yet this was our first visit to McPhee's. It won't be our last.
