“We Typically Choose Hilton Properties...so I Have a Base for Comparison”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

My husband traveled for years and almost always stayed in Hilton properties. This property had some mixed reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect. My friend and I went to Temecula for a girls get-away. We stayed in room 517 which is over the pool area and away from the interstate. I understand we were upgraded for what we paid since it was a Monday and not too busy. The building is older so some of the rooms or gathering areas aren't as large as newer Embassy's, but still they are adequate. The building was clean and well maintained - beds were comfy. Happy hour was nice. They had a nice variety of snacks, hummus, pita, cheese, crackers...there was something else too, but don't remember. The bar's choices of beer was limited to 2 , 3-4 wines, and your standard mixed drinks. Breakfast was very good which could be cook to order for eggs, omelets, etc. then a a variety of pre-made items along with fruit and pastries. No complaints at all with the service. It was much less expensive than the winery based accommodations and you get free happy hour and breakfast so that's huge when considering where to stay and the price. Beds were comfy, and the only complaint I have is our AC fan was a bit noisy but didn't keep us awake. The other thing to be aware of...I made the reservation, but it was under my husbands Hilton Honors number. He did not go, and for security reasons they insisted on calling him for confirmation that it was "ok" for me to check in even though I had ID. I found this a little irritating, but better safe than sorry...so just know if the reservation is under someone's name besides the person checking in then they will require to actually speak with that person who name is on the reservation. I asked why this was and I guess a few dishonest peoples in the past had caused the hotel to initiate this rule. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor over pool area away from interstate

Dear Ginger C,
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be your hotel of choice while traveling to Temecula. I'm glad you enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and evening reception, two staples of what we are known for. We will have our engineering team look into the AC unit that was a minor nuisance. Guest comfort and security are our top priorities and we are constantly looking for opportunities to improve both facets of our operation.
Respectfully, Ben Kulak, General Manager

Hotel, room, and services were excellent for the price point. Room was clean and breakfast had great omelets. Hotel is centrally located near the freeway and old town section. A brisk walk will get you to all the Old Town events or a short drive. Wine country is only 7 minutes away by car. For business, you can get to all the major cities from Temecula if you are going to more than one location.

Room Tip: Hotel is a little oddly shaped, so lower rooms are down below the lobby side. Best to stay on the l...

We attended a wedding at a winery in Temecula California and stayed at the Embassy suites hotel. The hotel is outdated and in need of a remodel. The room we had was spacious but was outdated, the carpet was dirty and frayed and we only had one trash can in a 3 room suite! The staff was pleasant but the room was not! Where was the waffle maker?

Dear Mr. Kritzman,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at our hotel, and we appreciate the kind words regarding our staff. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and we’re very sorry you were unhappy with our suites. In early 2012 we completed a guest room refresh to include new carpeting, upgraded bedding and lighting along with new 37" HDTV's. We hope to continue to improve our guest experience and overall offerings to provide superior service and quality accommodations. We hope you will consider staying with us in the future.

We stayed here in June 2012 for a wedding - the hotel was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. The views in Temecula were also pretty breathtaking. The hotel had a very spacious pool that was also very well kept. The stay included a continental breakfast that was top notch! No waffle mix in a plastic cup here!-- they had an omelette station, made to order! All kind of cereals, fruit, yogurt, pastries; it was really a filling, delicious display. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, even for a family. This trip was just my husband and I, but you could have stayed there easily with 1-2 children. Overall, a very lovely trip with a convenient location to wineries and the small Old Town area. We would definitely return again if we ever get to!!!

I am a gold member with Marriott and SPG but the two Marriott properties here in Temecula are NOISY. I stay here at Embassy because of the good value for the money. The breakfast is great since they do a cook to order omelette and I stick mainly with eggs. They do have the other muffins and breads etc too. This place is good for the money since they do offer happy hour and breakfast but the rooms are a little dated and rust on the metals parts in the bathrooms, door jams missing, paint rubbing off and carpets just ok. The maid skipped my room all together the first night. Wtf? Overall if you need a quiet place that is easy to get to town and freeway with decent amenities then this is a good choice. The bed I got this time was also very comfortable and the fact that the rooms are large and set off the hallway with a separate door contributes to the quiet feeling. Not too bad for Temecula.

Place is great! Location is great. On one side of the freeway is Old Town Temecula or go the other way and hit the wineries. Breakfast is amazing, and the free happy hour is beer, wine and cocktails. Bring a board game or some cards and relax in the bar and enjoy! The staff was very helpful with recomendations and just a great experience.

Room Tip: Don't pay the extra for a room with a view. I don't think it is worth it.

My wife and I really enjoyed the friendly service we received from the front desk, sports bar, and breakfast staff, With the "managers special" happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30, and the complimentary breakfast, complete with prepared omellets, it is really a good value for the price of a nice suite, The hotel is located perfectly between the Temecula Wineries, Pechanga, and Old Town Temecula, We will be back in 2013.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the main highway as it can be a little noisy.
