“on a road trip w/BFF, needed some sustenance to get us back to La La Land...”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

spent the late afternoon/early evening at Pala Casino and needed a bite before going back to the city, so Yelped nearby eateries...this place popped up, it was the next exit so we just grabbed it as it was closing in on 9 pm/closing time and we knew not many other viable alternatives in that hood that time on a Sunday night...
well, we got there at 845, with a 9.00 closing time...greeted promptly by the hostess lady, taken to a booth with what in the daytime would be a great view of the outdoors, thinking the golf course...
at any rate Kimberly our way more than efficient, knowledgeable, accommodating to our requests server was on it right away...she knew the menu, as others have said abit limited but it was exactly what we were in the mood for...pupu style (Hawaiian speak for apps, and I don't mean the sort that you download onto your mobile)...
here is what we decided on/ordered up

me...Joel Gott Cab 10$ and worth it
my lady...a local, from down the way sangiovese 11$, also worthy

beet salad, Baby red & gold beets, watercress & arugula pesto, pistachio encrusted nikolau family farm goat cheese, orange supremes, blood orange vinaigrette 12$
the 'squealer' a perfectly grilled pork sausage served with some broke da mouth caramelized onions and mustard...and fresh fries...some good was...10$

the better side...
deviled eggs...what is there to say? 4$
liver jar, think chicken liver pate with a 'jam' topping, tasty served with some sort of bread, she being GF, declined & was offered carrot/celery sticks in lieu, w/o being asked, by Kimberly 8$
summer salad...Asparagus, English peas, yellow wax beans, watercress, mini heirloom tomato, nikolau family farm goat cheese, buttermilk vinaigrette 12$

the both of us...

flourless chocolate cake, if ever there were words to warm the cockles of ones G F heart, those were them...perfectly dense, with the most amazing coulis of a berry reduction by Chef and obviously hand whipped, whipped cream (I know, but I always whip mine by hand so I can tell) 9$ and oh so worth it...

this eatery has top notch, creative and obvious Chef Pride in presentation, which my friends, is half the battle...

all in all everything was truly great, tasty and well worth the 82$ plus generous tip that it cost us...

ask for Kimberly...

“Convenient and great view”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

All the seating overlooks the water feature and golf course so you get a lovely morning view no matter where you are. It was nice to see the completed patio and stairway down the back side as well.

Service was friendly and accommodating but a bit forgetful.
My husband had the Yuma Express - a stuffed chili relleno was a bit too exotic for him.
I had the Frenchmans french toast - a bit dry. Had a bit of ricotta and slightly charred bottom. The side of eggs and latte were yummy!
Room for improvement!

“Good Food, Drinks,with a view”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

Just had dinner at the newly remodeled Cork Fire with a local group. The menu is limited, but all 8 entrees ordered were very good. Great bartender and a cool lounge. The view from the dining looks out over the golf course.
