“Quiet, good location but ...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2012

The Hampton Inn is only about seven years old so it is one of the "newer" Temecula hotels. The good: price is reasonable and varies by room type, breakfast included, quieter than most because hotel building does not parrallel the freeway, located near freeway on/off ramp and less than a mile from Old Town Temecula. (If you have been to Temecula you know about the bumper-to-bumper traffic exiting the freeway and street traffic). The bed was okay, not too stiff, not too lumpy. The not-so-great: old-fashioned decor, furniture and carpeting, strange rocking-recliner chair, carpet needs to be deep cleaned or replaced, 100% smoke-free facility but curtains reek of smoke, adjustable shower head but located well above 6', short shower curtain, rolling mirror "door" covering the closet. Room window had a screen and after you unlock and slide the 3 glass window panes you can get fresh air. The room has AC unit but we were airing out the smoke smell. Lots of little quirky things for a relatively new hotel but I don't usually stay at Hampton Inns so not familiar with this chain. Front desk girl was friendly and helpful. Since it was a weekday, hotel was not full but hot breakfast items were gone a hour before ending time. There were muffins, bagels, make your own waffles, yogurt, apples, juice and coffee. All the tables/chairs were taken so took oatmeal in to-go cup with lids. Nice touch and convenient. They had walnuts, raisins and brown sugar available for the oatmeal. Cereal dispensers, saw evidence of hard boiled eggs, potatoes, scrambled eggs. Some hotels don't offer breakfast so this was great. Cookies in afternoon, too. Coffee and tea always available. Since Jefferson has a concrete median (good idea due to traffic) you can exit down by the adjacent hotel and restaurant area if heading to Old Town or freeway. Good hotel as a base if you will be out checking out wineries, Pechanga or Old Town.

Room Tip: All probably quiet due to multi-paned windows. Long hallway so decide how close/far from elevator.

My sisters and I visited temecula on for a Event in december 2011 it was really a last minute trip so we had no reservations, so only a few minutes from arriving we used the tripadviser app and found some hotels we off course picked the hampton,I called and the agent informed me there was only a a couple of rooms left and let us know since we were already outside to go to the lobby and ask for a room which was fine for us.We were greeted kindly by a young lady and I informed her what we were told she right away said we were lucky they only had 2 rooms left, she asked for Id and credit card and thanks us and suddenly the other front desk lady gave her a snotty look and says those rooms were reseved and I know for a fact she did this for a racial reason because of the way she turned an looked at us 3 which am used to, but the girl who is helping us says shes just going to clear this up with the manager and it will be fine to get our roomkey, we sign for the receipt and the rude lady turns and says you are not allowed to have "OTHER PEOPLE OR VISITS" honestly I had to bite my tounge to not go off on this lady honestly. But after that our stay was soo stress free and enjoyablethe rest of the staff were so helpful and nice I will defenatly return when am in the area.

Room Tip: we got to stay on the first floor and to our surprise it was really peaceful

Hampton Inn Temecula is located in a very convenient location in Temecula. It is close to the Old Town Temecula antique stores, many restaurants, very close to the Promenade Shopping Center, many wineries and Pechanga Casino. There is plenty of free parking. A great breakfast to get you started on your day of shopping or wine tasting. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities, kichenettes and a gift shop in the lobby. The lobby is inviting with comfortable couches to relax. Although it is located close to the I-15 freeway, the rooms are noise-proof so we had a great night sleep.

The room was great - typical of a new Hampton. My only problem was the desk chair - it was too low for the desk. My room also had a recliner and a pull-out sofa. My room was quiet but I would imagine the back side of the hotel near the freeway might be a bit loud.

It is a bit tricky getting to the property from the north side - you have to turn left early into what seems like another hotel property to access the Hampton. Otherwise, you'll end up doing a u-turn at the next light.

Room Tip: Stay near the local road and pool facing away and north - to avoid the freeway.

While a few reviewers have complained about lumpy beds, the only lumps in ours were from the textured comforter cover. It felt like a brand new, very comfy mattress. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and had perfectly fine amenities. Likewise, the bedroom area was clean, spacious, and included a refrigerator, microwave, and flat screen TV. The exercise room, pool, and Jacuzzi made our week-long stay more pleasant, although the exercise equipment was a bit limited, like most hotels in this price category. There's even a Starbucks within an easy walk down Front Street into Old Town.

One thing I had been worried about was potential noise from the freeway, but I needn't have worried. There was no audible noise and we slept soundly every night.

The staff were friendly and responsive. In fact, the whole establishment exceeded our expectations in all but two areas: the aforementioned exercise room was typical, and the breakfast was better than some hotels, but you are still not going to get an omelet.

Room Tip: Our room near the elevator was very convenient.

I can always count on Hampton Inn for comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfasts, and good service. I could not have been more pleased with our stay.

The King Jr. Suite is roomy with a nice seating area, wet bar with microwave and 4 sq. ft. refrigerator, and good size bathroom. FYI - my uncle stayed across the hall in a Queen Jr. Suite and did not have the sitting area. The beds are not lumpy - the duvet had some bunches in the filling that made them appear lumpy. Sheets and duvet are cleaned for each new guest - and they looked and smelled like it. Rooms were quiet - never heard anyone in the hallway or next door.

The breakfast selection was one of the best I've seen and was constantly refreshed right up until it closed at 10AM (I appreciate the later time!). Fruit was available during the day and there's a small snack bar for purchases.

It's a short walk to Old Town that helped us avoid any parking problems.

Front desk was very helpful with dinner recommendations as well as putting all our family's room together (we were all in for a wedding).

I will choose this Hampton Inn for my next visit to Temecula!

This hotel was average, average, average! The room was clean, but the amenities were poor. In particular, the two queen beds in my room were lumpy, and the lumps were visible when the beds were freshly made.

Ok for a shower and some sleep, but not a hotel where you want to linger.
