My wife and I were married at Ponte in April, 2010, and what an amazing experience it was! We were so excited to hear about the Ponte Vinyard Inn and couldn't wait to stay there.
Our first stay was over New Years, 2012/2013. The rooms are top notch and the hotel itself is gorgeous! The only issue we had was during breakfast, where the service was not what we expected from an inn of this caliber.
Our second stay was in April 2013 for our anniversary; this experience far over-shadowed the first. The rooms and service were amazing, the food was delicious and the vineyards are as beautiful as ever. Our only issue was the low water pressure in the showers. My hat goes off to Ponte and the entire estate for their green efforts, but my wife had a little trouble washing her gorgeous head of hair because of the low pressure.
Overall, our experience with the entire Ponte Estate has always been amazing... We will continue to make this one of our favorite getaway spots in Temecula!

Hello, Sydneys_hero
Welcome back! We are honored that you chose to celebrate some of the best days of the year at our hotel and that you've been impressed by our service and rooms thus far. As for the water pressure, we do put sustainability at the forefront of our operation, but we also care about your wife's gorgeous head of hair! We will bring the issue to the attention of our maintenance staff, and thank you for bringing it to our attention. We hope to have you back in the near future to celebrate more occasions or possibly to ring in 2014.

Our day began at Lake Skinner and upon commencing that, my husband and I checked into the inn early. Upon check-in guests are given detailed instructions on the layout of the venue as well as how to operate the elevator which uses a control mechanism associated with the room key. We were also offered a glass of Moscato to savor, however, because we had parked farther away in the dirt lot we relinquished the opportunity then and there and stated that we would return for it, which was happily accepted as a standing offer. However, after moving our car and possessions we were a bit taken aback to be asked what we were there for, which was obviously our moscato. However, it was a different employee, I believe the manager and we complied with showing her our room care to receive our drink. Am not sure if that is normal protocol but nonetheless; I guess she had a job to do and make sure we were guests. Overall, the property is relaxing, the decor was beautiful with relic pieces, art frames and old world charm. The pond, courtyard and vineyards just beyond the Bouquet restaurant were welcomed sights. Kids were running through them playing and laughing as well. Moreover, the room was spacious (especially the bathroom-wish the walk-in shower had more shower heads or a hand-held) and clean. Also the king size bed had very nice linen, was elevated off the floor and ample amounts of pillows and body pillows (almost too many), but made for a serene and peaceful rest. The room also had a ceiling fan and the commode is separate from the sink and shower area. All in all, the room did exceed our expectations and the staff outdid themselves- especially (Ms. Ashley at check-in and the Bouquet restaurant staff and the wine tasting room staff). I recommend making reservations at Bouquet as we did for Saturday morning breakfast, of which I enjoyed the salmon and eggs with asparagus, a smoothie and my husband had the berry crepes and orange juice. All were good, although the beignets could have been more delectable. I do love the experience they provide and we walked away with a wine club membership and 5 bottles including the Moscato ;), a port and a boysenberry wine. Delicious. Looking forward to the experience again. Thanks, Ponte Vineyard Inn and Winery staff; you all are doing the owners and guests proud. Thanks for making the weekend a memorable one for my husband and I before his trip out of the country. :)

My husband and I just returned from a trip to CA that included a two-night stay at Ponte Vineyard Inn with our daughter. If I could, I would give it 4.5. They are on the threshold of being a very special place.

The property itself is amazing. Top notch architecture and decorating. It reeks of new (literally), but fortunately the architect and decorator created themes of rustic and timeless style and comfort. We loved the setting for outdoor breakfast, overlooking the vineyards at an oblique angle. The grounds are lovely, despite immature landscaping. The vineyard grounds next door are beautiful.

And the food!!! We had an amazing dinner (we were actually surprised at how very good the food was, given the obvious inexperience of the staff we came in contact with). We had breakfast there both Monday and Tuesday and we couldn't have been more satisfied with the food and the attentive service.

So why just "very good"? As others have remarked, the staff is pretty green and it shows. On a number of occasions we felt we were getting scripted responses to our questions and inquiries rather than the recommendations of experienced persons with first-hand knowledge. The staff were polite and courteous, but lacked the character and seasoning that you would wish for in a truly outstanding property.

As for our room - we paid for a suite for three persons but the room was basically a large room with two queen beds and a little sofa/loveseat area, all in one room. Still, it was large and adequate. The most disappointing thing for me was the bathroom. The bathroom has all of the modern finishes - what is that cool stuff that looks like wood but absorbs moisture? As another reviewer commented, the shower is huge but sprays half the space. Sadly, I am a BATH person. Where is the bathtub in this large, expensive room? Who does that? No bath, just a big shower. For some that would be enough, but I was disappointed.

Looking back to the time that I booked the reservation, I don't recall another property in the area with as much to offer as Ponte V. I. Yes, they are in the formative stage, but I would not hesitate to stay there again. The positives outweigh the negatives. The food alone is worth it.

We had a very nice time in Temecula, and Ponte was a big part of it.

Hi cellapink,
Thank you for your review of Ponte Vineyard Inn. We appreciate the feedback as it helps us grow and improve our services. We apologize for the disappointment with the lack of a bath tub. We are a green hotel so we installed showers instead to conserve water. We are glad you enjoyed the food, the property and the experience overall. Should you choose to stay with us again, please let us know how we can improve on the overall experience for you. Or, if you would like to elaborate on any service issues, we would welcome the feedback. Please contact us at info@pontevineyardinn.com. Again, thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you soon!

Our stay at The Inn at the market was fabulous!! We spent 1 night and LOVE this hotel! The staff--and I mean the ENTIRE staff-- is extremely helpful and friendly. They were all so helpful--and their recommendations for things to do, restaurants, etc were always spot on. The courtyard and lobby are inviting, the elevators always timely, and the hallways pleasant. The room was beautiful, and the turn down service was welcomed. Maintenance of the room was perfect.
When really good food is served in an ambiance that’s not only creative, but cozy, you know you’re in for a positive dining experience , the food is great. The restaurant has an attached bar area[ down stairs ,grotta or cave ] in which you can order bar food or order directly from the dinner menu of the attached restaurant. I had originally planned on going out to eat but since the bar offered great food choices and excellent quality I decided to eat there. The bar has good beer and spirits choices with excellent happy hour prices . Me and my wife we just love this place.....will be back for sure ....i recommend this inn
for the people who want to have good time ...you can find cheaper places but what the hell ,you live once so go for it ....

We got married at Ponte Winery in October 2012. Not only did we have our dream day but all of our guests left saying what a great time they had and how impressed they were with Ponte. We stayed at the Ponte Vineyard Inn before and after our wedding- I'm not sure we could have picked a more romantic place. Breakfast in the garden on our wedding day was the perfect way to start the most memorable day of my life and ending it with champagne in a Ponte Suite wasn't too bad either :) I highly suggest the Ponte Vineyard Inn for a romantic getaway.
