“No whining, but nice patio dining”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

We spent one night on the Ponte to help celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary. After a day of wine tasting, we drove up in a sudden late summer rain storm. It caught everyone off guard, and the bell staff was concerned about us getting wet in the 10 feet to the lobby. It was a fresh, cooling rain, so we didn't mind. Check in is was easy. Had breakfast on the patio the next morning with excellent service and delicious food, even making changes due to dietary needs, (my picki-ness). Everything was sparkly new and up-do-date. My concern? Rates were quoted incorrectly on the phone, and the same employee struggled to make change as the register did not prompt the change due to me. Other than that, I can't wait to go back and spend more time exploring the venue.

My wife and I recently visited Ponte for our honeymoon. We only stayed two nights; however, the experience was amazing. The hotel and vineyards were absolutely beautiful and the wine was great. The winery restaurant is a must! We will deffinately be back for an extended stay!

My husband and I went to Temecula in mid August for a birthday weekend retreat. Having never been to the Ponte Vinery we decided to stop in for wine tasting. Knowing that the hotel had just opened earlier in May, we decided to check it out before our tasting. We were greeted in the lobby with a glass of Moscato (my favorite!!!) and we were offered a tour of the facilities. We were so impressed with the rooms and decided to stay the night. The view of the grapevines, the soft bed and plush towels made for one relaxing getaway! The Cellar Lounge built in the basement area of the hotel was fantastic! We loved the classy decor, tasty food, and the live music. Oh, and the bar offers one wickedly yummy selection of drinks! Perfect place for a quick getaway in Temecula!

Room Tip: Splurge and get an upstairs room!

Ponte read my earlier review here and sent us a voucher for a free night's stay, which we were able to take advantage of last weekend. I'm happy to say that it is now very much worth the going rate. The grounds are almost completely finished, no jackhammers in the morning, and two of the three restaurants serve until fairly late, especially on the weekends. The grounds, finished, are just as lovely as I thought that they would be. We felt a bit like we were the only people in the whole place, and this on Labor Day weekend, with a wedding going on next door. Beautiful fountains, and so fun to stroll along under the shaded arcades. I know some people are complaining about the lack of a pool and fitness rooms and all that, but let's think about this. A pool is only going to attract people with small children. They'll dump them so that they can go wine tasting, and take advantage of the "free babysitting" that such amenities provide. That would completely spoil the experience of this hotel, which is meant to be a quiet retreat for people over drinking age. You want a pool and a million screaming kids? Go to Disneyland, and leave the Inn for the rest of us. Different strokes for different folks and all of that.

The customer service game is up to the winery's standards now, from booking to check out, and I will definitely be returning. I'm thrilled to be able to say that, because writing my previous negative review broke my heart. I love Ponte, and I'm not surprised that they were able to iron out their problems quickly.

Room Tip: Having stayed on the ground floor and the second now, I have a slight preference for the ground floo...

My husband and I recently stayed at Ponte Vineyard Inn for our 20th anniversary. The inn was beautiful and the room had a great view. The staff was amazing, very attentive to our needs and recognized our anniversary with a bottle of wine within 5 minutes of arriving. Several times we had drinks and food at the Cellar Lounge and the food was very good. It was very hot while we were there but it was still wonderful to walk around the grounds and see all the beauty. The only one slight thing we were disappointed about was the Restaurant at Ponte was not open on Thursday night so we did not get a chance to eat there.

A beautiful property with friendly, well trained staff. Dinning was our highlight, the Tuscan style courtyard overlooks the vineyard with healthy food choices and great wine. The was one of my favorite dog friendly hotels to date! We will be back!

I recently got married at Ponte and stayed at the Inn the night prior to my wedding and my Husband and I stayed the night of our wedding. The staff at the Ponte Vineyard Inn were exceptional. The room was beautiful with an excellent view of the vineyards. We will definitely return to the Inn each time I am in Temecula ( we live in Michigan so it is usually only once a year).
