“Don't let the tiny location fool you!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

They say big things can come in small packages and the big flavors being served at Pamir Kabob are no exception. Located in a small restaurant tucked away next to the Macaroni Grill in Temecula....if you are looking for foods big on a flavor and attentive, knowledgeable staff then you should definitely give this place a try!!

I had never experienced Afghan food before so the staff did an excellent job of explaining some of the dishes (many very similiar to Indian cuisine) and made some excellent recommendations. We thought we would try a few things to get a good sampling and ended up having the Borta (a little kick to it), Lamb Shish Kabob, the vegetable platter (highly recommend) and then finished off with Afghan Baghlawa which was very similiar to baklava.
EXCELLENT!

The owner came out to check on us several times throughout the meal as well as the wait stuff. Quite frankly I have nothing bad to say. If your palate is craving lots of flavor and you are willing to go off the chain food map then make a pit stop here!

“Fresh, Flavorful, Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

My wife asked the waitress as we were reviewing the menu if the humus was made fresh at the restaurant. Her reply assured us we had come to the right place. "Everything is homemade on the menu except the lamb, chicken and beef," she replied. This quaint Afghan restaurant in a shopping center in Temecula is a delightful way to end a day of wine tasting. The food was indeed fresh, filled with favors and very filling. Plus it is very reasonably priced and the service is very friendly.

“Best Afghan food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Loved everything about it! Service was wonderful, atmosphere great and food the best ever. We had Borta (baked eggplant with tahini, garlic & yogurt..all blended together w/pita) and Mantu (steamed pasta shells filled w/ ground beef and yogurt sauce) for appetizers, Afghan salad which was very refreshing and Chopan Kabob (rack of lamb marinated) and so tender we cut it with a fork. We finished with Afghan Cherry Blossom Tea and Baghlawa (pastry w/nuts cardamom & honey). Wonderful and so reasonably priced. Total bill was $42. They have a patio but I recommend eating inside. The decorations are beautiful.

“Favorite in Temecula”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

This is a regular favorite of ours. The food is excellent and service is very friendly. Restaurant is smallish with a quiet atmosphere. They have a sweet and sour squash dish that we love and order to share accompanying our main course. Prices are reasonable. To top it off, it seems to be a bit of a secret, since we've gone on Friday nights and not had to wait. You won't be disappointed.
