Owner description: Nestled high atop the northeasterly hills of Temecula Valley Wine Country, are the vineyards and winery of Oak Mountain. This picturesque hillside vineyard estate produces the myriad of wines sampled in Oak Mountain Winery’s Tasting Room. Family owned and operated since the doors opened in 2000, owners Steve and Valerie invite you to join them in their growing tasting room just off the De Portola Wine Trail. These wines, vineyards, and winery are a true reflection of the relaxed and classic beauty standing timeless in Temecula Valley Wine Country. We are also home to a 10,000 sq ft mined wine cave, the first in Southern California. Come join us in our Cave Cafe or for a cave tour.

Oak Mountain is a fun, relaxing place to visit on a Sunday afternoon. They have live music on the patio Where you can sip there wine while enjoying the ambiance. Since there is no restaurant, you can take your own food or purchase reasonable-priced snacks from a local vendor. Avocado oil tasting is located inside.

What a great place to take family and friends for bit of wine and outdoor air! I like that you can do some wine tasting inside but can also take advantage of the outdoors by sitting under the huge cantopy. Many times there will be music and appetizers on hand. Very, very nice...oh yes, their wine I rate better than most wineries in the valley!

Oak Mountain has changed the way they make raspberry champagne and unfortunately, it is not good. They now use a Chardonnay grape and have removed the color. Why tamper with something that was frequently sold out? The old version was so popular, you could only taste it by the glass. The new version tastes so odd, I would not consider tasting it again, much less purchase it. Have you ever heard of the saying, if it isn't broke, don't fix it? I am now actually considering canceling my wine club membership.

Not only a wonderful winery, but a lovely patio where you can munch on goat cheese or pepperoni pizza, or bring your own snacks or lunch and listen to live music. They also have an impressive selection of flavored avocado oils and balsamic vinegars. The people are super friendly and the wines are excellent. If you are in Temecula, definitely stop by Oak Mountain.

We have visited several wineries in the Temecula area and find Oak Mtn to be of the nicest place to spend a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Their wines are consistantly good and moderately priced. They offer entertainment in the patio on weekends and it's always a friendly atmosphere. Food is available for purchase (yummy home made pizzas) or you can bring your own snacks.. Best of all, this is a very "doggie friendly" winery.
