This is a great stop for lunch while winery touring. The patio is well spread out and the gardens surrounding the dining area is beautiful. Being during the week we did not wait to be seated but there was a bit of a wait when leaving. Would imagine the weekends are super busy. Super big smiles and warm greetings when entering. Nice touch was the purse basket they put on the ground for the ladies to put their purses in. We were greeted by our server Sarah B who was super nice very knowledgeable, not rushing at all. Guided us thru the very interesting menu with so many interesting items to choose from. To help us thru that decision they brought us a bread pull apart loaf with cheeses and herbs nestled inside with a fantastic champagne dipping sauce. Their soup special was watermelon gazpacho. Sarah B our super great server brought us small tastings and we decided to have a bowl. So fresh with watermelon, tomatoes, cilantro. I could have devoured a whole pot. SO refreshing for the summer. We decided to go with the small salads. Chose the Fennel and Beet Salad and added on Ahi. The small salad was pretty good size and super fresh golden beets, watermelon radish, kumquats, goat cheese with lemon vinaigrette, ahi cooked perfectly. Also had the small Harvest Salad with apricots so fresh and fava beans and red beets with spinach nuts asiago cheese and a zinfandel vinaigrette. All of the portions were a good size, glad we ordered the small salads after eating all the bread loaf and the watermelon gazpacho. This is the place to be for a nice upscale outdoor pleasant dining experience. Then we headed into the tasting room and enjoyed even more including a bottle of the Super T we brought home. Such a nice experience here.

I had a wonderful scallop dish and my husband the burger. Both tasty and filling. We have eaten here before and never had an issue but the flies were swarming horribly. An adjacent property was doing sod or something they felt was the cause. Love the restaurant so hope the flies is a 1 time thing!

Thanks for your positive review of your meal at The Restaurant at Ponte. Regarding the flies, that is correct that it was a one-time issue - the farming property next-door was responsible for over-mulching resulting in an increase in flies around our property. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. The issue has since been resolved and we hope you'll come back and see us again soon.

This place had a great chef, unfortunately he left and since then the food is inconsistent. The price of the food is high for what you get, service is very poor and they make you wait 2 hours for lunch to get a table. Crazy....they need better staff and a new chef.

This restaurant was recommended to me, and I will continue to pass along the recommendation! We originally went for wine tasting, but there were only a few on the list that were my style (sweet whites). So after looking around the beautiful grounds & vineyards, we sat outside for lunch. For starters, they have cute little baskets for each table so that you do not have to dirty your purse by placing it on the ground. The mist allows you to enjoy the outdoors and the sun without getting uncomfortable. The only downfall was there were alot of bugs around us, but nothing that could be prevented by the restaurant. The view is amazing, and the food just as good! They bring out a large loaf of bread for starters. My mom and I shared the med. wrap with fries and the chicken pesto pizza and both were delicious and we even brought some home!

Thanks for taking the time to post about your great dining experience at The Restaurant at Ponte. We're so pleased you enjoyed the view and your meal.

Regarding the bugs, this time of year it is common to see a slight increase of flies due to the agricultural surroundings. This is just temporary and will dissipate very soon as the season progresses.

Thanks again!
