Want something different to do in between wine tasting in Temecula? Last weekend I took my best friend wine tasting for her birthday and added a horseback ride thru the vineyards to make it even more special. It was a birthday she will not soon forget.
"Wine Country Trails by Horseback" offers a wonderful ride in the vineyards. We chose Wilson Creek Winery to start from, but Diana (who was our wonderful tour guide and trainer) can go from other vineyards as well. The scenery is spectacular. We went at 11 am, but they also offer sunrise and sunset tours . I can't wait to bring my husband and go at sunset!! My sister is coming from Texas for mothers day and I plan to surprise her with a horseback ride also. Great for all ages. They even have a little pony the can take small children ( I believe up to 80 pounds and over age 7). Diana will walk the pony and you can ride your horse !! Great family outing!! I give this an A+.
PS: After the horseback ride, we walked over to the Wilson Creek Winery tasting room for some wine tasting and then to South Coast Winery just down the street for a fabulous late afternoon lunch. Also A+
