My Husband and I stayed at Cedar Glen Lodge for our 28th Anniversary. The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff was friendly. Danny, you are great had a great breakfeast every morning that consisted of muffins, bagels, cereal, yogurt and fruit with coffee, tea or hot chocolate or juice. Tera was very helpful in the office as well as the owner Martha. We have stayed there twice now and would differently stay again. I would recommend this to anyone. You will not be unhappy. Its home away from home and with friendly staff.

We took a spontaneous trip to Tahoe (my first) on Sept 10-12, 2010. We were specifically looking for pet friendly accommodations as we were taking our 9 month old puppy with us. Martha’s (the owner) warmth and energy made us – and our puppy – feel incredibly welcome. Danny (Martha’s nephew) also couldn’t do enough for us. Knowing that we were arriving after dark, he had turned on the heat in our room for us, and lit the outdoor fire pit for us.

Although Martha has only owned the lodge since July, she has already done great work on the landscaping, and there were other renovations underway throughout the weekend of our stay.

We had a one bedroom unit with a kitchen – so it was spacious. It also had a spectacular lake view.

We particularly enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit Saturday morning with the other guests… it was a lively conversation and a lot of fun. Martha and Danny even joined the group for more good laughs.

We will be back!!

The Cedar Glen Lodge is one of those rare nuggets that a traveller only comes across once in a blue moon, if ever! The owner, Martha, has only owned the lodge since July 2010, but in that short time, she has done everything right.
I hosted my wife's surprise birthday party there, and was pretty picky about what I wanted. From my very first phone conversation with Martha, I knew that this was the place. She and her staff, Danny and Tera, not only took great pains to make sure that our event and stay went well, but they also became our friends over the course of 3 days.
The lodge is actually a main building up on a hill, with a view of the lake, and a number of smaller cabins lining the road up to the lodge. The private beach with hammocks and beach chairs is across the street. We booked 9 rooms, all in the lodge, and each was clean, well stocked, and quiet. In front of the lodge is a huge patio, also with a view of the lake, with lots of tables and chairs in which to relax. In the middle of the grounds is a heated swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna. All appeared clean and well maintained. On Friday when we arrived there were some contractors doing some work on the grounds and a few of the units.
The staff was very polite and accomodating with our every request. Danny, Martha's employee, checked in on us numerous times, to make sure that we had everything we needed. On both nights he even lit a big bonfire in the firepit for us and brought us some marshmallows to roast. Every morning there was a nice breakfast layout in the lobby, which consisted of cereal, milk, juice, coffee, yogurt, danishes, and fruit.
All of my guests commented on how nice the place was, and how friendly Martha and her staff were. We all agreed that we would stay here next time we were in Tahoe. My wife and kids are already planning a ski trip for this winter and guess where we will be staying.

We had a lovely stay. The room was great. The view of the lake was superb. My husband went down and brought back food from the continental breakfast which we ate on the desk most mornings because the days were so beautiful. It is close to safeway and eating places and the Catholic Church. Martha the owner was very friendly and Danny was very knowledgeable although he had only been in Lake Tahoe a short time. We wish our stay could have been longer -- next time.

Our first stay on North Lake Tahoe, the Cedar Glen Lodge was a very pleasant suprise. We booked 2 days in advance for a quick weekend getaway and were so happy with this choice. Beautiful lawn and bbq area, right across the street from a beach. I have never met more accommodating, friendly hosts (Martha and Danny) along with Tera in the office. These folks genuinely care about their resort and the enjoyment of the guests. I think I enjoyed the tall pines the best vs staying somewhere lakeside, and the beach is just a very short walk across the road. We will be back soon and bring the kids and pets next time!

Labor Day Weekend was wonderful. We had great weather, lodging, food, and friends. The cabin was large enough for 6 adults. Would have liked to have slept with the windows open. Had a bear warning, didn't see or hear any bears. Raleys grocery store was near by and we bbq. A really nice picnic/bbq grassy area. They also had a firepit going at night. Hung out in the hot tub and then a few jammed on the ukelele. What a weekend. Walking distance to the beach.

This weekend in Lake Tahoe was incredible! I can't say enough about the customer service. The folks at Cedar Glen Lodge...Martha and Danny are most gracious. They took care of our every wants and needs and they did it with a smile. The continental breakfast was very good and they had plenty. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin. Plenty of room and very comfortable. They have a very nice pool and spa. I plan on staying there again in the near future.
