Should have listened to my gut when I was given 2 different prices for a reservation. I was told there was some computer issues and ended up paying the higher price. We were looking forward to not having to drive to get dinner and was not told that there was a private party on the night we arrived and that we would not have access to any food. Very disappointing for a family with young children. In addition, the room had recently been painted which was very bad for our child with asthma.

Staying at the hotel doesn't automatically grant a table at our restaurant. This is why the reservation template has a link to the menu and strongly advises future hotel guest to make their dinner reservations. However, we have a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

We have not painted any rooms in at least 2 weeks. In addition, the paints we use are not oil base and have very little odor. It is a shame this guest didn't communicate to us any issues. We would have made an effort to change rooms and/or ventilate the room. It's very clear this reviewer is trying to justify a 2 star review and also the fact that this TA account was created with the sole purpose of hurting a business.

We stayed here with our young family, a 3 year old and 8 month old baby. We had a stunning view of the lake and the room was beautiful! They are pet friendly so we were able to bring our dog too. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. They do smores every night which I though was a sweet touch, especially for the kids. The location is great. Our room had a little kitchen so we could make some meals "at home." The staff knows the area well so they were able to recommend places to eat and activities to do. Our family did some kid friendly hikes that were perfect!

Room Tip: If you have a pet ask for room 23. Its part of the lodge rather than a stand alone cabin but you get a great lake view. Its a 1 bedroom, but sleeps 4.

This may be one of the best overall finds we had on our trip to the north shore side of lake tahoe. The price was right, the rooms were right, everything was right - I sound like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. I can't think of anything that wasn't right. I think they're dog friendly too.

My only gripe is that it is on the 'land side' of the main road rather than being on the beach. But it was far more affordable than staying in the ski villages in the region.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are always happy when we exceed our guests' expectations! I have to completely agree with you about not being on the side of the lake. And you are absolutely right, should that be the case, the rates would be much higher. We try to compensate with many amenities such as our large heated pool, hot tub, sauna, putting green (brand new!), ping pong, volleyball, and our famous fire-pit and s'mores. Fortunately, we own access to the lake, and all our guests have to do is cross the street!

Thanks again and hope to see you back soon.

We were in cabin 23 and it was beautiful! Spacious, clean, with awesome views. The staff was helpful, kind, and friendly. We were able to have our dog along on our family vacation and there were great places within walking distance for exercise and bathroom breaks (and bags provided), which made the visit that much more impressive. On our next trip to the Tahoe area we would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Room 23 has beautiful views, is quiet, and there's a small deck to sit out in front to watch sunrise & sunsets. There was so much to do and see we didn't even know there was a fitness center lol! We were there during cold weather so the pool & spa were enticing but too cold to use; but definitely will use at our next trip!
