Panoramic views of the lake and mountains beyond abound from nearly every table and during the summer, guests can also enjoy alfresco dining on Lake Tahoe's largest outdoor deck. The Lakeside Dining Room features new American cooking - fresh, vibrant presentations of American classics with a focus on premium seafood and steaks. The award winning wine list has been carefully selected to complement the menu and offers a wide variety of wines including some rare & limited offerings. Our Mountain Grill offers a more casual menu and is seated on a walk-in basis only. Sunnyside is also a classic lakefront lodge with guest accommodations overlooking Lake Tahoe. The 23 mountain inspired lodge rooms are inviting places to sink into after the day's activities.

This place is always a winner. Great location, right on the water, very festive atmosphere, good food, drinks and wine. Zuchinni strips have been around for years and still awesome. Service was very good, too. Wasn't too crowded on a Sunday night, but it can be very crowded. Part of the fun. Just hang back and enjoy it!

I have basically grown up in Tahoe and Sacramento. My family has a summer cabin. During the summer I have to get a sandwich at PDQ in Tahoma, Chamber's punch and a fish taco and zucchini strips at Sunnyside. Sunnyside and Dukes always deliver a solid experience. The deck here is awesome view!

If you are visiting the north end of Lake Tahoe you must make a stop to beautiful Sunnyside resturant. Located near Tahoe City in Homewood on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, Sunnyside is somewhat an institution in this region of Lake Tahoe.
Yes, it can get crowded, noisy and at times the service can feel a little rushed, but for me and most friends I know it is always a very positive experience. We have an annual golf trip to the region every year and without fail, the group does make that demands an evening dining at Sunnyside. The service is most often positive, food is worthy of the views with your choice of casual Menu options or full blown dinner and the views of Lake Tahoe are world class.
When weather looks positive, try for seating outdoors but even if not possible the busy outdoor bar will provide a great time.
Reservations are highly recommended in the busy months, both summer and winter and you can dock a boat at the pier.

We stayed at the B & B The Cottages a 5 min walk to the restaurant. The Inn keeper recommend it to us. I had the fish Tacos and my wife had the Cheese burger. The food was good. We like the view of the lake. Very busy and little crowed though. Overall it was a nice dinning experience.

Never loved it here, but the food was OK. Still OK, but now it's more expensive!!! Was there with three friends celebrating our birthdays and decided that Sunnyside, on the deck, was the place to go for dinner. Had a horrible, crabby waitress who refused to give my friend a new steak after hers was overcooked to GRAY. Had to call the manager over, who got us a new steak (cooked correctly!) and a new wait person. The manager made it all right for us, and the nice new waiter got a great tip from us. Sadly, I do not want to come here again. Relatives who spend the summer in Tahoe agree that the place has lost something. They still eat lunch there, but no longer come for dinner because it's just not worth it.
