Nice staff, generally helpful. Could have done without the Sunday 9:30 am mowing and weed whacking. That’s more of a Monday mid-morning task. Nice location in Tahoe City, pretty quiet and walkable distances to all of the down town places. I’ve stayed at the Base Camp in South Lake and I prefer that one for the layout and amenities. The overall cost for Tahoe City Base Vamp is too expensive for what you get.

I was in Tahoe City for work and loved my stay at Basecamp. It is in a great location. It is clean, comfortable, great breakfast, great staff, comfortable rooms, etc. I look forward to a future stay. Great amenities in the room and at the hotel.

A bit too high rate for the accommodations and service. Continental breakfast area too small for the number of people - also limited selection.

Would not stay in this hotel in the future as there are much better deals and amenities on the South side of Lake Tahoe.

We have stayed at the Basecamp in South Lake Tahoe and so we knew that this brand takes tired, older hotels and revamps them into a fun, hip place to stay at a very reasonable price and this was no different. Quiet, clean, it was just what we needed after a day of kayaking and hiking. There is beer on tap in the office with wine as an option as well, and smores in the evening for the firepits for a reasonable price. It is walkable into town so you don't have to drive to dinner, shopping, etc. The rooms are comfortable and there's a cooler in them instead of a refrigerator- just take the Igloo down to the lobby and get some ice and viola- a fridge! There's a continental breakfast and coffee and tea available in the office from 7:30 am. A great value!

Room tip: Single story so no one to stomp around above you!

The rooms were a fun fresh design and the service was what you would expect from a small hotel. Breakfast didn't have a large selection, but it had toast oatmeal and fruit which is really all we needed. I would have enjoyed our one night stay a lot more if the room hadn't smelled strongly of pot.
