“Excellent afternoon of fun”
Reviewed September 5, 2012 via mobile

This is a great way to spend a few hours on the beautiful truckee river. We took a cooler with food, drinks and snacks for the kids. The paddling is easy and the rapids are very gentle. The river was overcrowded but the mood very enjoyable and relaxed. There were people fully clothed ... Duh! Be prepared to jump overboard (water is not cold, and mostly shallow). Most parts of the river are great for swimming. Take bathers, sunscreen and leave the dog at home.

“Take your time and enjoy the relaxed vibe and scenery”
Reviewed August 26, 2012 via mobile

We want on a warm sunny day in August, on a Saturday and was expecting it to be overcrowded and noisy. It was busy but did not spoil the beauty and tranquility of the trip. Take a picnic as there are plenty of places to hop off your boat and enjoy the water. Yes, the water is a little cool but it is crystal clear and if you are in the shallows then it stays slightly warmer. If you enjoy people watching then stop near one of the Bridges and enjoy watching people who have never been on the water before naviagte(or not) the currents! There are a real mixture of people on the river and it's great entertainment watching the world go by. To make the most of the trip you need to stop and get into the water, have a picnic and make a day of it. Definitely best to park at the 'end' of the float and get the bus to the start. It is not whitewater rafting but doesn't claim to be, just good family fun.

“A bit boring”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

It was a nice float down the river. It would have been a lot more fun if there were more rapids, but no one can do anything about that. My kids got a bit bored while floating down. Everyone that worked there was fantastic and very helpful. I don't know if I would do it again, but I'm not disappointed that we tried it.

“Great family activity”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

It's impossible to drive into Tahoe City without noticing everyone floating down the river and we decided to give it a try. We had an awesome time! It was a very easy trip and took less than two hours. There were plenty of places to pull off and relax. We wished we had brought along some snacks and drinks because we could have spent a lot more time enjoying our trip down the river. The shuttle system was excellent as well. It was nice to enjoy our trip without worrying about how we would get back to our car.
