The Grey Gables Inn was a perfect place for our girls get away...the parlor was comfortable and cozy for our gatherings for conversation, tea and cake and wine and cheese! The breakfast was outstanding and the rooms very quite and comfy. Walking distance to the town in which we spent several hours exploring and wine tasting! We will certainly be back :)

Sue & Roger are the perfect host in their beautiful B&B. They make you feel welcome starting with tea when you arrive, wine & cheese in the beautiful, cozy parlor and a breakfast the next morning perfectly prepared. Sue will share her recipes if you share one with her. The rooms are all large & comfortable with a fireplace and large bathroom. The grounds are perfect for sitting with friends, reading and having a glass of wine. What a find in a charming community close to several good restaurants - Imperial Hotel & Taste - plus many wineries to explore.

Room tip: All rooms are lovely & quiet with large windows

We stayed at Gray Gables for 2 night, December 28-29
Loved this place!
Rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The food is delicious and tastefully presented. Sue and Roger are very nice, warm people! It was a lot of fun to have glass of vine and cheese and share stories with Sue and other guests...
We will be back!
Thank you

Everything was wonderful. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated, very clean, and very quiet, as were the common areas. The food was delicious, generous and beautifully presented. Everything was modern and well-maintained.
The only caveat is that Tuesdays and Wednesdays (in winter at least) a lot of the restaurants, stores and area wineries are closed, so if that's on your agenda, you may want to plan ahead. But overall, a lovely experience and we will be back.

This was either our 2nd or 3rd return to Grey Gables. Sue and Roger are great hosts -- made us feel at home and provided a nice afternoon tea from 3 to 4 pm. (We didn't partake of the wine/appetizers at 6pm, so no comment on that). The room was fantastic -- large, a couple of little nooks by the windows. Even though it was on the main road, it quiets down nicely at night, so not a problem.

Sutter Creek is kind of funky -- some restaurants aren't open on Monday/Tuesday, but we found one that was. It's nice to be able to walk the 2-3 blocks to the restaurants.

Room tip: Rosetti Room is large and is the only room on the top floor, so is very quiet. Two flights up from car parking, so don't pick this room if you don't like stairs! Slept with the windows closed to the main road, but with the windows to the back yard open, and had not problem at all with noise or sleeping
