“Easy Trails but Beware of Bugs!”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

The Sunol Regional Wilderness is linked by many trails. Some steep, some gentle. You can pick your trail. Most of them are 5-6 foot wide, designed for fire trucks and support equipment. The trails are also used for bikes and horses, so watch out for the bikers coming downhill.

“Stunning!”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

Got engaged here in April of 2009. Absolutely stunning views and full of green rolling hills and wildflowers (at least in April). The park has a great valley floor, that usually has beautiful morning fog. There are numerous trails for all skill levels and lots of fun things to see along the way.

“July 4th camping celebration”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

My husband and I recently met a couple and found we shared a lot of the same interests. The four of us went over night camping - us girls played dice while the manly men went hiking. We all had a wonderful time!

“Excellent place to hike with your dog”
Reviewed May 25, 2012

This place allows dogs, both off leash and on leash in different areas. The views are spectacular. You can't go wrong spending a few hours of your day here. It feels like you are in the wilderness, and yet you are just a couple of miles from town. It's a perfect little relaxing get away.

“The beauty of nature close to the suburbs”
Reviewed February 27, 2012

Sunol Park is a great place to go for a hike, especially in Spring when everything is green and wildflowers are abundant. There are short hikes to "Little Yosemite" waterfall and longer ones up the hillsides. No fancy shops or even snack bars--bring your own food and supplies. It gets hot and dry in summer, but there are lots of trees by the creeks.
