Super location, near everything. Clean, quiet and reasonably priced. Breakfast is great with everything you could want. Rooms are being remodeled and will soon be even better. Management is on top of everything, Bruce and Barbara are pros and it all runs beautifully. Looking forward to a return visit.

I always stay here when in the Valley.

I like the location - close to the highways, but not too much, close to a shopping center with Safeway, great Sushi, Panda Express, Best Buy and more - which males it easy to get all the gifts for the kids.

Had a renovated room this time - and the renovated shower was the best. They could make the TV to be HD, and should do something about the noise from the air-condition and fridge. But other than that - very nice.

Breakfast is great as it as been, free wifi with good rate, and while the hotel is still in renovation, you do not feel it that much.

The downside of the renovated rooms is that now the price is getting higher, and you expect more - for example, reduce the noises from the appliances in the room.

All in all, still a very good place to stay.

Thank you for your review. It looks like we are making some good choices with our renovations and have some fine tuning to so with some other details in the rooms. It is very helpful for us to have this feedback to make the changes necessary to provide the best experience for our guests.

The hotel itself and room were fine - friendly night and evening clerks, comfortable bed, and a quiet night. However, the shower head was at about 5’5”. Good thing it was only one night, that shower was not enjoyable. The breakfast was considerably better than standard hotel breakfast - omelets, bacon, sausage, waffles, fruit, and Japanese breakfast items.

During the past year we have been working hard to improve our hotel and its' offerings. With the room renovations we not only have changed the decor but also upgraded the entire bathroom,
including raising the shower heads. I am glad you enjoyed our breakfast, we are always looking for ways to improve or add to what we serve to meet the needs of all our guests.

this was never a super nice place. but acceptable and not bad for the rate. this year, i cannot believe what a dump it has become. my first room smelled like chemical. it was so bad, i broke out into an asthma attack. second room, there were literally things crawling on me in bed and the bed was somehow lumpy, hard and soft all at the same time. the heater did not work, it just blew cold air and made a lot of noise. the walls were dirty. never actually experienced that before. there are cleaning people as when i checked in there was someone cleaning the room down the hall at 11pm, but i don't think they do much but change the bedding. he furniture drab and dingy along with well scuffed walls and floorboards. this is the worst hotel experience i have ever had. this used to be my go to place. i'll never stay here again. there are MUCH nicer places nearby, such as, Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara that is actually less money a night and everything is new and clean.

Room Tip: avoid the hotel. if you have no choice, ask for some sort of renovated room. i was denied one of t...

I apologize that your experience at our hotel was below your expectations, I understand your frustration. We have gone to great lengths to improve the hotel service and physical property, and when one of our guests, such as you has a bad experience it is frustrating for us as well.

The lingering smell of paint in the first room you occupied, due to the renovation taking place in the floor above made it unbearable and I am glad that the staff was able to move you to a new room, but unfortunately this was also unsatisfactory.

Although we would like to meet the needs of all of our guests we have obviously fallen short during this stay. We strive to give the best service possible and hope you give us an opportunity to succeed the next time you need a room in Sunnyvale, and once again make us your “go to” hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days on a business trip. Overall I would say it's a good price/value decision. What I liked:
- Fast WIFI
- Inclusive of breakfast that includes different choices
- Clean room/bathroom
- Good location
- Free parking

Things that I personally wished were better:
- Breakfast area is a little small, so make sure you get that at a good time
- Lobby looked a little dated. A little odd but it had a big cage for parrots present there.
- Noisy AC

Thank you for your kind words and recommendations on how to make things just a bit better.
We do have two cocktails in the lobby, one was a rescue that was found in the parking lot 7 years ago. Although we searched for the owner, none was found and they adopted her and called her Maple. The second bird came several months ago, as a result of many regular guests wishing for a mate/friend for Maple. I have subsequently found that many hotels have birds such as swans and ducks, these hotels may do this by design, our Maple came to us by chance. We are planning to make some changes to our public areas in the near future, so I appreciate the affirmation that this would be a step in the right direction.

We made room reservations through lucile packard hospital and the woman we spoke with and made the reservations was great. when i made the reservations i asked for an updated room due to all my daughters health problems. i was told it was not a problem. when we got to the hotel it was a little later.... we got all our stuff in our room (old and smelled of smoke and was right by the pool) the smell alone in the room was almost too much for me. later that night we were in our room and found about 5 bugs in the bed. they were not bed bugs but termites, we went to the desk and they didn't want to move us rooms. we asked again to please be moved and were told we may be charged a different price for the room since we were requesting the move....um...hello... your room has bugs infested in it..... not my fault. still wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt i moved rooms.... upstairs and also right next to the pool and still smelling of smoke. the staff was not happy that we requested a new room and let us know that. there wasn't even and offer for any type of accommodation. so we payed full price for a room we were less then pleased with.

Room Tip: make sure to request an updated room! the other rooms are very dingy and ours had bugs!

Thank you for your candor in your review, our goal is to improve our guests' experience and try to ensure everyone is satisfied upon departure. Being able to respond to your experience helps us to reach our goal. I apologize that you experienced termites in your room. Since we are in California, termites are very common and something we take precautions against. Unfortunately they were not enough to avoid the experience you had. We are a non smoking hotel and do not allow smoking in the rooms, however if someone is a smoker they can leave a lingering smell of smoke behind, which, if you are sensitive to this, can be detected. We do our best to keep our rooms free from smoke and other scents, I am sorry that this wasn't the case in the room. I hope your visit at the hospital went well and I hope that you give us another opportunity to succeed.
