I knew going in that this property did not have great reviews. However, with hotels booked in the area due to the upcoming Dead & Company show and being on a budget, we chose it. A couple of things, my key card was deactivated 4 times during my two-night stay and I had to get it reactivated to get into my room. Front desk said not to place card next to keys, credit cards, or cell phones. Well, that doesn't leave me any option to store it in my purse. Also, one morning there was no hot water - totally cold. We called maintenance and when they got there the hot water was working. I asked what happened? Does this happen often? And he said the hot water goes in and out all of the time.... wow, glad I didn't have to be at a business meeting!

With all that said, my bed was comfortable - the A/C worked and it was a joy to share the hotel with fellow Deadheads.

Hi Kristin, Whist it's good to hear that you enjoyed your comfortable bed, we are sorry that your stay with us was not perfect. Our keycard machine is similar to that which is used by all hotels, and all hotels give the same advice about storing key cards, which can be de-magnetized by keys, credit cards, or cell phones, as you were advised. Unfortunately, the age of our building has disadvantages, one of which is the fact that it can take hot water some time to travel to some rooms in times of peak usage. We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this caused. Unfortunately, all the Deadheads needed a shower at the same time! We hope that you enjoyed the atmosphere around the hotel, and we hope that you would consider staying with us again if you needed accommodation in this area. Best wishes, Hotel Management

It is a shame that the air conditioning in your room was not working effectively, and that our attempts to fix it did not work. On reflection, we should have offered you an alternate room, and we apologize sincerely for not doing so. We hope that this issue will not dissuade you from staying with us again, we would welcome another opportunity to give you a fantastic stay with us. Best wishes, Hotel Management

When I got there I gave my ID card and credit to confirm my booking but before that I asked if I can see the room because I had free cancellation and the photos I saw were sketchy. By the time I got back to the front desk I was already charged and I was about to tell the guy that I won't spend the night there. The reason why, is that the room was the dirtiest hotel room I have ever seen, the bed sheets were ripped, the towels had yellow marks on them, the sheets were too small for the bed so I had to touch the mattress (which was disgusting by the way). The curtains were ripped, the window had one thousand fingerprints on, that if the police had to investigate the room they would have like 200 suspects. The wifi was the slowest ever, and the hotel smelled like an ashtray! Worst and most terrifying experience ever.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Room tip: It smells smoke everywhere

We are very sorry that you felt that our hotel was not suitable for your needs, although it appears that you were aware that our budget offering was not what you wanted, as you were very much prepared to cancel at the point of check-in. Our housekeeping team generally do a great job of cleaning our rooms, so it is unusual that they missed so many things in the room that you were given access to. As you did not actually stay with us, I'm not sure if you actually had our WiFi password, or how long you attempted to use our WiFi - we generally do not get complaints about this service. Again, we are sorry that your expectations were not compatible with our hotel offering. Regards, Hotel Management

Old Property that desperately needs a complete renovation or teardown - caters to truck drivers, construction workers and those that like to party into the night. Paper thin walls and windows allowing you to clearly hear your neighbors after they have had too much to drink. Not appropriate for serious business traveler. Breakfast was mediocre in choice and poorly presented making you question if you should partake.

Hi Carol, and thank you for your review. It's great that you enjoyed your stay with us in the main, although we apologize for the fact that the shower pressure was not as you would have wished. Unfortunately, the age of our building does mean that this can occasionally be the case at periods of peak usage. We hope that the rest of your stay made up for this inconvenience, and we hope that you will choose to stay with us again. Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Best wishes, Hotel Management
