We have been staying at the Cabins at Strawberry on Presidents Day Weekend for probably the past 10 years. The cabins are very large with a large living room with sofa sleeper, TV and gas fireplace, large kitchen table with 6 chairs, huge kitchen with basic dishes and pots and pans and 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. You can walk up to the Strawberry Hotel for a meal or drinks and walk across the street to the Strawberry Store if you forgot an ingredient, but we usually cook in the cabin. There are no phones and wi-fi is spotty, but we fill the time skiing/snowboarding at Dodge Ridge, walking along the creek or just playing games and talking in the cabin. Mary and Brian Sutherland and Brian's mom are great hosts/hostesses and Brian clears out the snow with his tractor if we are lucky enough to get that much snow. The location is great for Dodge Ridge because you miss all the traffic coming up the mountain and Dodge Ridge is a great little resort that the kids feel like they own (can go anywhere). Dodge Ridge has lessons, a nice lodge for lunch, a nice bar to get a cold beer or a hot chocolate after skiing. I've heard that this area is beautiful in the summer, but I havent been there in the summer. Take your own pots, pans, knives, etc. if you need something special for whatever you are cooking, but there are random pots and pans in the cabin. The towels are a little thin, but adequate for the purpose of the trip. Minimal housekeeping is required in each cabin upon leaving. We have stayed at many other cabins in this area and have decided the Cabins at Strawberry are the best!
