“Value and Amenities of a Much More Expensive Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

After spending 4 days at this very reasonably-priced hotel (which is located 3.5 miles from I-5), we have seen that it has the amenities of a much more expensive place. Our room (#333...which was right next door to the infamous #335 of a previous review) was very clean and comfortable. It included a refrigerator and microwave along with a flat screen TV and free WiFi. From M-F, the hotel offers a full, hot, restaurant-style, complimentary breakfast which is ordered off a menu. With three colleges located nearby, the hotel is very busy on the weekends; so a hot breakfast buffet is served on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, we were offered a free glass of wine available at a Manager's Reception on M-Th evenings from 5PM-6:30PM in the library-style bar area. With the Fitness Center (elliptical, bike, treadmill, and universal gym), Business Center, and helpful staff; we were very pleased! The hotel is also located next-door to a Walgreen's if you want to get snacks or drinks, and there are many restaurants and a shopping mall nearby. The hotel offered an inexpensive and very pleasant stay!

Room Tip: We enjoyed our poolside room on the 3rd floor which had a balcony and was not located along March La...

My past reviews of inexpensive hotels along the highway have been pretty critical. But I'll gladly point to this hotel, one of the least expensive hotels I could find this week, as evidence that you can have a low price point, and still be clean, well run, and a decent place to stay. The building itself was a little dingy on the outside, but we found our room completely spotless. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, one of whom was kind enough to let me use the hotel PC to solve a technical problem I was having. For reasons having nothing to do with the hotel, I needed to change rooms, and they made that easy and fast.

My only complaint was breakfast. I was excited to discover a sit down complimentary breakfast vs. the usual cook your own waffle fare. Unfortunately, we (three of us) got meals that were cold, colder, and coldest. The kitchen was soooo slow, and obviously didn't care at all about the product. I also felt bad for our waitress who obviously had way too much to do on her own. So, breakfast -- we got what we paid for.

A drive from the freeway exit down a blvd that belies Stockton's reputation for being unsafe. Pros are location (quiet, convenient to stores), value, and the excellent restaurant-style complimentary breakfast you can get to go. There appeared to be many working people staying there. Staff is very nice. Cons include the cloying aroma of cleaning product in the interior halls. The AC is a "hard" off and on which is typically motel atmosphere. I believe handicapped or mobility-impaired would not find this hotel the best. Gates, cobbled pathways, stairs, and spread out.

Room Tip: We had an exterior room on the street which was not particularly noisy, but a room facing the courty...

The place is conveniently located. Not too far from down town. Not too far from the 99 or the 5 or the 4. There is a food market nearby, and also a mall. The rooms are well kept up. Reasonably close to an upgraded shopping and restaurant neighborhood down on Pacific Avenue.

We stayed at this property for only one night last April as we were attending a UOP baseball game.
Hearing and seeing that the location was not great( surrounding ares), I was abit apprehensive, but being BW Platinum Elite members, Id thought we'd give it a try. I am glad we did.
Granted, the area is not great(really, what is there?), but we felt very safe and comfortable our whole time.
we were welcomed by staff and thanked for being an elite customer.
We were given a very nice room which included a great oversized tub and a separate living area- a lot of space!
The pool and jacuzzi were closed down at the time we were there, but you could see the nice potential they both offered.
One area of disappointment we encountered was that on their web site, they show an evening manager's reception at their bar/lounge. we went down and asked about it and the front desk said that was no longer the case and sounded surprised it was still on their site and
was going to tell the manager and have it changed-well, it's still showing it on the site.
They do offer a full breakfast in their restaurant, but it was a bit understaffed and slow.
Overall, a good hotel, good service, and we would definitely stay here again when back in Stockton.

Not bad for the price. There is a complimentary breakfast buffet included in price.
House maids were on time and cleaned the room nicely. Friendly and accurate service when i checked in late. Wifi signal was good. I will be staying here again.

This was a fantastic place to stay. Great price, and the hotel staff was extremely friendly. My family of 4 stayed one night on our way back up from LA to Seattle, and we're sure glad we did! The complimentary breakfast is the BEST I've ever had - there's a full breakfast menu to choose from and you get full-service with orange juice and coffee. Pool area was wonderful as well. Would definitely recommend. There was even a nice security guy patrolling the grounds outside on a bicycle.
