We stayed at the La Quinta for two nights over the weekend to attend a graduation. Rooms were decent sized and relatively clean. Bathroom was small, but that was to be expected. The sink and vanity area are separate from the shower/tub and toilet. The only problem we encountered was that the air conditioner was broken. Unfortunately for us, since the hotel was booked, we couldn't be moved to a different room and maintenance was unable to fix it without moving us out. Even though it was over 100 degrees outside, the AC's fan kept the room somewhat cool, so it was liveable. The front desk offered us a 10% discount, but said we'd need to speak with the manager to receive a voucher for a free night. The free continental breakfast wasn't spectacular, but with muffins, bagels, cereal, coffee, juice, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs, it wasn't bad. All-in-all, it was a relatively pleasant stay for a couple days.

expensive vs. similar national chains in the area
my room (on the east side) faced the freeway--bring earplugs
lots of light leaks in the morning--alarm not necessary mother
nature will wake you up
funky room smell--was this formerly a smoking room?

Stayed here for one night on our way from Seattle to California. Decent, clean room with comfortable beds. No extra charge for our dog. Did hear some freeway noise but not enough to disrupt sleep.

We went to Stockton for a wedding and stayed over on a Friday night. I read the Trip Advisor reviews and thought it sounded fine. It was okay. I thought it too close to the freeway noise, but our room was in the back, so not too bad. The breakfast was fine: pre-made waffles, cereals, fruit, yogurt, bagels and packaged pastries. The staff kept the breakfast area clean and fully stocked. (I went back for seconds). Room was clean but nothing fancy. Pool looked cloudy and no one swam in it. Staff at desk was very nice. Basic motel, with easy on and off freeway, so fine for a night.

Needed a place to stay for one night on the way down to Ventura for a wedding. Choice this La Quinta based on the positive feedback given by other customers. Room was quite spacious & and located near easy access to I-5 the following morning. Would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in Stockton either on business or on personal trip.
