Very good food in cute setting, but long wait for the one bathroom. Had the daily special of a crab salad sandwich, and it was so fresh and generous with the crab meat….best meal I had all week. Be sure to get one of the specialty breads or cookies to go! Also, they had fun décor with ocean-scape paintings by local artists for sale. Little playground across the street to entertain kids if you have to wait.

My wife and I try to go to Stinson Beach 2-3 times each year. On our last visit, we decided to try the Parkside Cafe. We were very pleased with the food preparation, service and prices. In our visits there we ordered breakfast, burgers, fish and Rib Eyes. Everything was great. The fish was obviously fresh.

If you visit this beautiful little town, skip the seafood place on the main street when you drive in off of crazy twisting Highway 1. Get out of your car and stroll to stop your head from twirling, then get back on the road for about two minutes. Go left to Parkside Cafe right on the beach. We had a Wedge salad (really good organic iceberg w blue cheese, apple slices), New England clam chowder (chock a block with fat clams) and a wild rice(?) salad. Our server was a mature beach boy type but low key and knowledgeable. Place was almost empty at 4:00 p.m. but food was fast and hot when it arrived. A gorgeous chunk of warm artisanal bread arrived w the soup - enough for three of us with plenty of butter alongside. The patio was sunny and peaceful and we walked on the windy beach for a few minutes afterward. Mmm - early spring heaven.

Wandered into this place in the quiet seaside town of Stinson Beach. The fresh bread was delicious. I had the lemon pan fried half chicken, which was flavorful (seemed to taste a bit different because it was probably free range organic), but a bit undercooked (which the server dutifully and cheerfully rectified). My companion had the grilled rock cod with roasted beets and polenta and enjoyed it very much. Service was efficient and friendly. Menu fits on one side of a long sheet of paper, but has sufficient variety to satisfy.

Closest restaurant to the beach and best breakfast food in town. Come early on the weekends, say 9 AM and parking will never be a problem nor will it be to get seated. Best place to eat on a warm day is the outdoor patio, best place on a crisp winter morning is inside next to the fireplace. If you want the place to yourself, come during the week, if you like hustle and bustle, choose a weekend or holiday.
