My grand-daughter and I stayed in room 5 in the front; being on the end it did become a bit hot; however, it was literally a short hop to the super clean pool (the pool had a small floating device that we use as well in our pool to house the cleaning tablets) and also a vaccum going; which you will have to swim either over or under to get around it; a small price to pay for a great pool. Our room may have been small; however, in Europe where they are called 'pokey singles' it fit our needs. Clearly the room had been redecorated and it was done so very tastefully and as it is a very small room everything had its place and its function. The bathroom was very clean and we had large very soft towels, better than some hotels, and plenty of toiletries. The front desk person (the son of the owners I believe) is very patient and friendly and helped with anything that we asked about. The television is a nice size and put at a great angle which of course you will have to watch from the bed. There is a small alcove where there is a mirror and a place to put your suitcases and a small chair. The More about the motel is that it is very well cared for and it shows in the pool area and the room itself (except, the only thing if I were to stay longer I would ask them to clean the slats that were super dusty on the wall heater). The small window air conditioning in addition to the fan above our bed kept the room cool; and you must remember to leave the bathroom door open to the room in order for the air conditioning to go throughout the room. There is a small coffee maker with two packets of coffee and the usual powered creamers and sugar choices on the small table. There is no table at which to eat; although there are many places on the property set up to eat any food you bring. At the pool there are very comfortable chaise lounges to sit on with umbrellas. There is a nice sitting area enclosed by colorful curtains next to the pool along with a grill. My granddaughter brought her raft and had a nice time. There is a gas station a few miles away on the left hand side a Valero that sells swim goggles and swim toys at super reasonable prices and is worth to pick some up to use in the pool if you did not bring any. (Not the gas station next door to the motel but the one on the way to the Park). In the morning there is a small room next to the office where you can get bottles of water, juice boxes and packaged muffins; the ice machine is also in this room. So, for the Less: is the price! Overall, for the price, location and the room itself I would suggest staying here in lieu of the other (few) choices in the area. I do not believe they have any senior or AAA discounts, yet the price is so reasonable it is a wise choice to stay at this motel.

Room Tip: If you want a larger or quieter room choose the rooms in back of front row.

We stayed in room 1 (one). The room was remodeled, but lacked finishing touches. It was ok. We stayed here two nights. There was no room service, they did not even empty the trash. Did not restock the supplies, shampoo, soap, ect. No fresh linen, or towels. When we inquired why was nothing done, we were told in small motels they don't do it unless you ask. That there was a note in room stating so. We found no note. I asked two other guests if they found notes, their answer was no. We have stayed in many places and never heard of having to ask for daily housekeeping. There were bugs and insects in room, and in the morning we found a frog in the shower. The refrigerator had no shelves. the pool was dirty, and the grounds needed attention. We checked in at 2 pm the parking lot was empty and the caretaker was deliberating of letting us check in since it was not 3 pm. We explained we wanted to go to Kings Canyon Nat'l Park so he gave us the key. My advice is, it's not worth it. It's still 25 miles from the park, and really the only place to eat nearby is a pizza place. Window air conditioners are very noisy, and did disturb our sleep.

Room Tip: Ask for room in back of building. Rooms 1 to 5 are up front on Highway.

Our family stopped here on the way to the park. Don't let the exterior sway you this is a nice place. Seems the rooms have been updated recently. Although the rooms are in the small size, they are clean, comfortable beds, nice 3 piece bathroom, wifi and cable tv.

There is a pool and outdoor area although being New Years Day it's was all but shut down.

Close to the park entrance and right on the 180.

Would recommend.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and inexpensive. Rolled in after dark and stopped off on a whim...it's a small tiny town, but the front desk guy was nice, the room was clean and cheap..they had breakfast the next morning but we were out early. Don't expect the ritz, but it's way better than Motel 6!

If you just need a night to park the campervan and get some sleep then this place is perfectly fine. The service is very friendly and helpful. Amenities are basic but there is a nice pool and a basic bbq area with shade. There is also a shop nearby and fuel if you need it.
