We stayed here both on our way out and back into the country. It is a short, free ride from the airport; there is a nice, complimentary breakfast; and there is free internet. The front desk staff was courteous, and the rooms were just fine for our family of 4. It was everything we could want while waiting to catch our flights the next day. There is a McDonald's across the street and an IHOP one block away, but that is about it besides 3 or 4 other airport motels.

Cons: The place is showing some signs of age. One of the elevator doors sometimes got stuck trying to close, the upholstery is worn, and a lot of things just appear to be a bit old. However, the beds were comfortable, and I would rather have dated, comfortable furniture than new, uncomfortable stuff.

We had only one bad experience. On our first stay, we were given a room that had not been made up. It was 1:00 am pacific time (4:00 am to us), so we did not notice the trash in the wastebaskets, the towels on the floor, etc., at first. However, a call down to the front desk resulted in a room change within 5 minutes. Everything else was so good (breakfast, shuttle, internet) that I did not bother looking around when I had to book a night during our return. I simply found the best price for this motel and made the booking.

We stayed in this hotel for one night, as we needed to be close to the airport. A good hotel for this reason - free shuttle to and from the airport, food served until 10pm and a complementary breakfast. The shuttle does take about 15 minutes from the airport, as it seems to be the last on the list, but only about 7 minutes to get back again. This did mean that the free shuttle could get you to the BART public transport system and then into San Francisco. The room was in need of redecoration (and new un-squeaky beds!) and bathroom could have been more modern, but it was perfectly comfortable and did us well. If you want to go into San Francisco, I'd suggest not staying here, but it's not impossible.

The one plus this Best Western has going for it is that it is one of the closer hotels to SFO airport. That said, its in an area with almost nothing around it (food, etc) besides a couple other hotels, a IHOP and a Houlihans, and the property is very average. Needs a makeover. The beds are squeaky and our queen bed room was very small - if we had been here longer than a night it would have been too small for us not to feel cramped. The bathroom was similarly small and cramped, and the ceilings were very low. Hotel had a business center but otherwise was very low frills.

We had a gift card and got a price match from hotels.com that brought the cost of the room down to $65 (then minus a $50 gift card we had). Honestly if i paid more than $65 to stay here I'd have felt ripped off. I've been to better Best Westerns out there. They really should do a little renovating here.

My husband and i stayed here for three nights and found that the hotel room could have been presented a little better. The window was dirty, the material on the two chairs were warn and we had the view of the highway by our window. I would recommend to ask for a room that faced away from the highway as it can get a little noisy during the daytime. The wireless internet was weak and lost the connection often. The breakfast however was fantastic, great selection of food was provided. The location was o.k, and was reasonably close to get into downtown San Fran.

We waited in line a long time to check in at 11:30 pm. We were told we had a non-smoking room and the label outside confirmed this. However, the room reeked of smoke. We complained by calling the desk the next morning but were told we had to talk to the manager. I called Hotels.com who we booked through and they contacted the hotel who said there was no record of the complaint and they would do nothing. The manager still doesn't understand the problem--stating we were not guaranteed a non-smoking room. The point is we got a non-smoking room that had the unexpected smell of smoke in it. The buffet the next day included orange juice that looked like slightly orange colored water and tasted just as bad. Look elsewhere if you want a clean non-smoking room that truly is non-smoking and to be treated with respect when following up.

I got a room at this hotel for $50 per night via Expedia, and so my expectations were not high. But I was pleasantly surprised to get a clean, quiet room with a good complimentary buffet breakfast! The staff was businesslike and professional, and they were obviously doing a land office business. The parking lot was so full that I had to park in a neighboring cul de sac (which, fortunately, I could see from my room's window) on the first night.

The only issue one might have with this hotel is its location. It's on an industrial road near the airport, and there isn't anything walkable that's worth walking to. But if you're in a car, major highways are very close.

This is a really good airport hotel and we were pleasantly surprised about it. It looks just ok from the outside, but the hotel itself is nice and clean. There are pros and cons:

The plus points - it's a very good price, the location is superb minutes from the airport and easy to find, free parking, staff are friendly, the place is clean and tidy (very important), the rooms were big and the breakfast was included (it is nothing fancy but a good start into the day). The beds were spotless and really comfortable, the free wifi worked without problems and the Deluxe-King held what it promised.

On the negative side, it really is just minutes from the highway and airport and you have to be prepared for the noise. But I guess it is changing with the wind conditions? We stayed 3 nights, two nights were really quite and one of it was quite noisy? The free airport shuttle is great, but they are rarely on schedule. We waited over 40min on the terminal to get picked up, so there is room for improvment.

Overall I would recommend it as a good option for a one night stay or even for 2-3 nights when you are visiting SF. Be sure to book the Deluxe King Rooms, they are really nice and have a good size. We liked it there...
