This is our go-to place whenever we come down from the Bay Area to Santa Cruz. The food here is wonderful, especially the braised dishes, the pastas and the pizzas from the wood-fired oven. The food is fresh, seasonal and local. Much of the produce is grown on-site in the beautiful garden. The staff is very attentive.

Delicious appetizers and pizza baked in the wood fired oven. Sitting on the garden patio is delightful. We will definitely go back.

Four of us dined here on a Friday night. Initial impression wasn't too great when all the water and wine glasses looked pretty cloudy and gross (probably clean, but whatever they use for washing glasses doesn't leave them clear). We only had one appetizer (beet gaspacho) and it was pretty strange. The four entrees were all pretty good, although the beef dish was overly salty. The papperadelle and lasagnetti were excellent. Two desserts - cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake - both were quite dry and not too good.

Having loved going to the old "Theo's" for many years, we were thrilled to see the lovingly maintained gardens, taste the creative & delicious foods prepared at Main Street Garden. They even have chickens at the end of their property! Sit outside or inside, it's all great. There's even a private room for larger parties. Menu changes regularly to incorporate locally available produce & other menu items. Very nice staff, owner made the rounds, too which we appreciate. They have local wines at great prices, too.

The restaurant itself is charming with a indoor fireplace out door patio area and a lovely herb garden. The menu was mostly Pizza's. The food is fresh but servings are very small and I thought everything was way over priced for what we got. I also thought the service was just o.k. not too welcoming. We have ate at this restaurant for dinner twice in the past year and both times we left disappointed with the service, small portions, boring menu and high prices. I suggest they enhance their menu and lower their prices if they expect to stay in business.
