We had a stop in Sonoma on a wine tour.

We had a really enjoyable lunch here; delicious well presented food and good wine.

Our server was very pleasant, attentive without overdoing it.

I am told the draft beer wasn't well gassed so I'm assuming they don't sell a lot of it.

Four years ago while on a trip to the wine country, our group of 6 discovered this wonderful little bistro. We returned last week with memories of lovely outdoor court yard patio and delicious food. We were happy to discover that the food was as good as what we remembered! It was a very warm Sunday afternoon. We chose to enjoy the heat and ate at the same table.
The Beet Salad, Grilled Salmon on Ciabatta, and Portobello Sandwich were all enjoyed by our group. My Grilled Salmon sandwich was one of the best tasting sandwiches I have ever had!
Our servers were friendly and efficient!
Out of the many restaurants we have eaten at in the wine country, Plaza Bistro has become our favorite for lunch! We hope to be back soon, and not wait another 4 years!

We stopped here for a glass of wine after a long day of traveling. We were on the first night of our weeklong excursion. The staff was very welcoming. We enjoyed our wine out front and began to unwind. We left for the inn and didn't realize until 30 minutes later that my wife had left her purse! Outside! You ladies know that terrible feeling. When I sprinted back to the bistro the gentleman smiled and said "We have your purse". Thank you Plaza Bistro. Vacation disaster averted. May your honesty bless your business.

We were offered either an upstairs table - where there was some live jazz music - or a downstairs table. We decided on the downstairs to avoid loud music during dinner. We were still able to hear the music as background sound. We had a table by the window and enjoyed watching the people walk around the plaza. The risotto cake is definitely worth trying. It is crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The Wedge Salad is light and a reasonable size - will not spoil your appetite. The Caesar Salad consisted of bright, fresh romaine and a tasty dressing. There was quite a long wait between the starters and main entree. The Cheeseburger was bland but the side of shoestring fries were excellent. When I asked an employee if they had ranch dressing (I like to use Ranch instead of ketchup), he said "no" and walked away. The hostess overheard this and immediately came to our table and suggested other possible substitutes. Perhaps a little refresher course on customer service for the staff? In any event, our waitress was excellent, friendly, and helpful. After dinner, a walk around the plaza and popping in to the shops is a nice way to end the day.

It is our one of the most favorite restaurant on the Plaza in Sonoma. Once we just wanted to have a pleasant meal on a quiet rainy evening and we decided to go to the Plaza Bistro. It was cold and stormy outside so the tourists were all gone or in their rooms. But the Bistro was warm and the service was even warmer and friendlier. We ordered Gnocchi, which I usually avoid since most places it is without flavor, dull and almost tasteless; but, that night knowing how well they do the Italian dishes we ordered it and turned out a most memorable meal! The Gnocchi was cooked just right, not over cooked, flavored with just enough garlic and chives, with right amount of fresh Sonoma virgin Olive Oil. Simply delicious, YUM!
