We dropped in after visiting the Mission and were surprised at all it had to offer. We sampled and bought cheese and enjoyed looking around at all the offerings. Definitely worth the stop and would go back again for sure!

Great opportunity to taste many different cheeses....and buy what u.like as they travel well. Picked up 3 different selections including a jalapeno jack, a creamy buttery soft cheese and hard nutty aged selection...and wished we got more! Only a short distance from city center. Small tasting.g area but charming employees let u try any and all..no tour

We were drawn into the Sonoma Cheese Co. by the smell of the meat cooking on their outdoor grill. We had very indifferent service by the fellow on the till when we ordered our lunch. I ordered a Corona. When, my husband asked for a glass of water, he was handed a plastic glass & told to get water from the fountain outside! We ordered a pulled BBQ pork sandwich that came with coleslaw & a grilled chicken burger. The chicken came on a dry bun. We made the best of it by putting the coleslaw on the chicken burger. I must say that they made the best coleslaw that ever had in a restaurant. But, the chicken burger would have been very unappealing without our ingenuity. A few tweaks could take this restaurant from average to very good.

The Sonoma Cheese Factory is not what it used to be. If you are visiting Sonoma and want to visit a cheese factory, I would recommend Vellas Cheese Factory about 2 blocks away. The quality is much better and it is a better refection of Sonoma and what Sonoma has to offer.

we did the wine tour excursion and stopped to the sonoma cheese factory as we were looking for a place for a burger.
They have a barbecue, tables outside to enjoy a simple and nice burger with a beer.
The atmosphere was very relax and the meat in the burger high quality. We really enjoyed
I paid 9 USD for the burger and 2.5 for bottle of heineken
