We had not dined here in awhile and were absolutely amazed at the food quality of this restaurant now. I knew it had been remodeled but had not really heard too much about how the food was these days. Expecting an average meal, we were totally wowed by our experience here fom start to finish. It really reminded us of Cyrus on all levels.
We were seated by the window with a pretty view of the pool, an advance reservation was made on opentable. The ambiance is very contemporary and sheek. Beautiful colors and lovely, ritzy decor. We were given an Amuse Bouche to start, this was my first impression that this place was going to be GOOD! Our server offered several different kinds of breads and two different butters, imported from France with sea salts.
My entree was the Spring Pea Risotto which was rich and wonderful. My husband ordered the steak plate for $48 which consisted of 3 different meats with small sides. Our Spring Salad we had was also unique and very fresh. For dessert we shared a Chocolate Caramel dessert which was delicious. Service was impeccable and we were given a treat in a small box for the road, just like Cyrus did! Well, we were totally thrilled with our time at Sante. We also ordered a white wine to go with our salad and a glass of Pinot Noir to go with dinner. Very impressed with the glassware for the wine also.
I give Sante a perfect 10 on all levels! I hope the quality continues to be this good for a long time. We really missed Cyrus and now have a new fine dining love in the wine country when we want some real pampering and true gourmet food. :)
