Description: Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.

“All I can say is WOW!!!”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Made reservations for dinner, arrived a little early, but they were easily able to accomodate. The hostess did tell us up from that our server had a 20 top table, but would be right with us. No worries, they brought us water and bread to hold us. It only took him maybe 7 minutes or so to be with us. Very good looking waiter too, I must add!

Our dinners were AMAZING. I had the duck breast and leg confit, and the sauces on the side were very interesting!! The boyfriend's Waygu beef new york strip was melt in your mouth delish. We also had the beet salad (beautiful presentation!) and the crabcake as appetizers...and the crabcake was heavenly. The desserts were just fabulous as well, the peach melba and the chocolate cake with CORN ice cream!!

We'll be back. This place is awesome.

“Nice food but poor service”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

We visited over Labor Day weekend so of course it was rammed and we had no reservation. We were therefore relieved to find they had some seats in the outside patio/bar area which was absolutely fine for us. However despite there being quite a few empty tables they initially tried to shove us in the corner by the bins! Of course we refused that table. They were incredibly busy and it took a while to get a menu and even longer to get our drinks. Whilst we understand they were busy it would have been nice to get an apology or some idea of how long food would be. Anyway the food when it arrived was pretty good but not worth all the amazing reviews. This place seems to have a reputation for being the place in Sonoma but we were not sure why.

“Foody spot under the stars”
Reviewed September 29, 2012 via mobile

Loved this place. Setting indoors or out in garden under stars fab. More energy in; cozy convo out. Beet salad and carpaccio perfect. Mussels and broth lovely. Tried duck, steak and lamb at dinner. All yum but amazingly steak won. Need to go back for more if only to lounge at the bar and have a nibble.

“Loved the lox!”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Stopped in for breakfast and ordered the bagel and lox with onions, capers and arugula. Man, that was as fine a sandwich as I expected, and more. The cream cheese was kept to a minimum so the flavors of the arugula and lox came to the fore. The onions and capers were a delight. Every bite was full of flavor that was just this side of understated -- the stated side!

“Fabulous”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

We started off at the bar with some unusual cocktails. There are some great options for real cocktails, not to mention awesome vino. Then we moved outside for lunch, which was great because it was a gorgeous day. I had the beet salad, which was earthy and creamy with beets and nuts and cheese. Then I had the chorizo mussels, which was wonderful. I would definitely order that agin. My partner had the margarita pizza, which he liked a lot.
