My title says it all. My husband walked in and said this is all we need. We loved having breakfast in our room. He couldn't wait to here them leave the basket of goodies. My only negative is the cost of the spa services. We can get two massages for the price of one in Sonoma but that's not the inns fault.

My fiancee Paul and I recently took the trip of our dreams to Sonoma, California where we were treated like long-lost family by the fabulous Faye, Gaeta, and Willow of The Cottage Inn & Spa. Our suite's decor and design was so tranquil and romantic it inspired us to remodel our own home. The first morning Paul and I took a run along the trails (literally steps away from the Inn) where we discovered private vineyards and amazing landscapes, and returned to the Spa for the BEST hot stone massage I've ever experienced. The downtown shops and restaurants are minutes away by foot, and the best vineyards are just minutes away by car. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer, and that's why we can't wait to go back.
I would recommend this Inn & Spa to anyone and everyone looking to relax, be inspired, and enjoy Sonoma!
Love, Jackie and Paul

The Cottage Inn & Spa is a work of art and a labor of love. It's located just off the plaza in the center of town with plenty of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Our room, the Chapel, was spotless, romantic, beautiful and charming. In-room amenities abound, including fireplace, fine toiletries, coffee maker, tea kettle, microwave, and the HUGE whirlpool/Jacuzzi bath! The mini-fridge is stocked with o.j. and milk for breakfast, there's ample -good- coffee and tea, also a choice of three breakfast cereals already in the room. We found the in-room breakfast table awaiting us at check-in abloom with roses, decked with a big plate of fresh fruit. Every morning a basket of scrumptious, fresh pastries appeared on the hook by our door. Our bed was the most comfortable we ever experienced. And you have to see the central fireplace in the courtyard to believe it! A warm, cozy, gloriously romantic place to socialize with friends after a day happily spent touring Sonoma. The friends we travelled with loved their room, too. This is a place of great peace, serenity, art, and East-meets-West beauty. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I were lucky enough to stumble across The Cottage Inn and Spa by just surfing the web while trying to plan a weekend trip to CA. After reading the great reviews on Tripadvisor and then talking with Faye on the phone we knew we wanted to stay there. It lives up to every one of its amazing reviews. Faye and her staff made us feel 100% welcome and were there to help make our trip perfect from start to finish. The property was beautiful with spring time flowers in bloom and our room was wonderful too. We had a private porch and also one that faced the street and we enjoyd both. It was great to be so close to town, yet our street seemed quiet. We did a couples massage the last evening there and it was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend!

My husband and I stay here every year (this was our 4th time I believe)...we got engaged while staying here so it brings back fond memories whenever we go back. The staff here is very friendly and warm, the rooms are cozy and clean and cute and each has its own personality (we've stayed only in 2 of them so far: the Mission Suite and the Vineyard View suite (which actually does not have the great view anymore since they added the covered courtyard with the awesome crystal fountain/fireplace, it's still nice though). Receiving the fresh breads/rolls in the morning is great and their coffees, cereals and fruits are a nice touch! We love staying here and will probably stay here every year for the years to come!

The Cottage Inn & Spa is a unique get-away destination. Whether you are at the Inn or wandering Sonoma, you will feel thoroughly away from it all. Situated a block and a half from the Sonoma Plaza, the location is perfect. Faye and co. are just great. Welcoming, interesting and interested, they really help you get the most out of your stay.

The architecture and sculpture are very interesting -- it's both warm and eclectic. The rooms are very well thought-out, some with a great inside/outside feel. Great architecture, airy and warm. Like noted on some other reviews, the domed sitting room is so well-done it's difficult to describe, especially at night. It's mesmerizing and very relaxing.

The Plaza is a wonderful place to roam. The people are great and there are infinite things to do. This is a great Inn.

We go to The Cottage Inn & Spa to get rejuvenated from our stressful lives. This place is soothing for body and soul with its tranquil surroundings, beautiful architecture, and pleasant aromas. The beds and linens quarantee heavenly sleep. The owners and staff are happy to help with any need you might have to make your stay more comfortable. We love to use the health club membership that comes with the room. The Cottage Inn & Spa is the best of both worlds; serene and romantic on a quiet street, yet less than a block away from the town square activity. We can't seem to stay away for long!!
